The Democrats aim to combat GOP restrictions \u2063on IVF and enhance access\u2063 to vital reproductive \u200bservices at a lower cost. \u2064The debate extends beyond abortion, highlighting broader reproductive \u200drights\u2063 issues.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_79\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/senate-democrats\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Senate Democrats<\/a> attacked a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/republican\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Republican<\/a> plan to put federal protections around in vitro fertilization efforts with a new proposal. <\/p>\n<p>Sens. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/tammy-duckworth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Tammy Duckworth<\/a> (D-IL), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/patty-murray\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Patty Murray<\/a> (D-WA), and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/cory-booker\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Cory Booker<\/a> (D-NJ) are looking to introduce the Right to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/ivf\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>IVF<\/a> Act and bring reproductive rights to the center of the stage again. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnlike GOP legislation that would not protect IVF and is only a PR tool for Republicans to hide their extremism, our Right to IVF Act would actually protect Americans from attempts to restrict IVF and would allow more people to access these vital services at a lower cost,\u201d Murray <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/congress\/senate-democrats-introduce-legislative-protections-ivf-rcna154946\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>said<\/a> in a statement. <\/p>\n<p>Besides making <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/abortion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>abortion<\/a> access a central component of their messaging strategy, Democrats have added other reproductive measures, such as IVF, to the list of things to slam Republicans for restricting.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRepublican attacks on reproductive rights since the Dobbs decision have not stopped at abortion \u2014 their reckless crusade to criminalize basic reproductive health care and give embryos the exact same rights as living, breathing human beings has put IVF in jeopardy and endangered the lives of pregnant women,\u201d Murray said.<\/p>\n<figure><figcaption>Sen. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/senate\/3009518\/cruz-britt-introduce-bill-medicaid-funding-states-banning-ivf\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>bill amends the Social Security Act<\/a> by providing federal protection for IVF services.
