The Committee on Oversight and Accountability, which oversees the subcommittee\u2019s work, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oversight.house.gov\/release\/covid-select-subcommittee-releases-dr-faucis-transcript-highlights-key-takeaways-in-new-memo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">released<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">  transcripts of Fauci\u2019s testimony on Friday. Fauci, though he hedged his answer, failed to provide a specific example of a study he viewed supporting child masking. He suggested that he may not have looked at any data at all.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cDo you recall reviewing any studies or data supporting masking for children?\u201d GOP counsel asked, according to the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oversight.house.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Fauci-Part-2-Transcript.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">transcript<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Fauci responded, \u201cYou know, I might have, Mitch, but I don\u2019t recall specifically that I did. He went on to say he believes the scientific data on child masking is still mixed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI believe that there are a lot of conflicting studies too, that there are those that say, yes, there is an impact, and there are those that say there\u2019s not. I still think that\u2019s up in the air,\u201d he said. \u201cI mean, I\u2019m very sensitive to children. I have children and I have grandchildren. So, I don\u2019t want to have anything that would do to harm them [sic].
