The former president&#8217;s concerns about a biased trial were underscored by President \u2062Biden&#8217;s nearby political event.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p>Trump attorney Todd Blanche said on Friday that former President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/donald-trump\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Donald Trump\u2019s<\/a> legal team was even more upset than he was about just how unfair the trial in Manhattan was following its conclusion.<\/p>\n<p>The verdict was the culmination of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/they-will-rue-the-day-megyn-kelly-says-country-disgraced-with-trump-guilty-verdict\/\" title=\"Megyn Kelly: Trump Verdict a Disgrace to the Country\">weeks-long courtroom battle<\/a> in which Trump said that he was the target of a \u201cpolitical persecution\u201d \u2014 a point that was seemingly validated when President Joe Biden sent his re-campaign to hold a political event outside the courthouse this week. The former president was found guilty on all 34 charges brought in the hush-money trial.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have been saying for over a year that we couldn\u2019t get a fair trial in Manhattan, we couldn\u2019t get a fair trial with the judge,\u201d Blanche told Fox News. \u201cAnd it played out in lots of ways exactly as we expected.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think that there were a lot of decisions that [the judge] made leading up to the trial which really hurt us, a trial that we very much disagree with,\u201d he continued. \u201cAnd what happens in a trial is, you show up for trial and all those decisions that have been made in the weeks and months leading up to trial, they matter, the evidence that can come in, the evidence that cannot come in. And when we showed up at trial, that\u2019s where we really felt that we weren\u2019t getting a fair shake.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said that Trump\u2019s constitutional rights were violated \u201cin many ways,\u201d including \u201cthe gag order that was put in place.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou had a situation where President Trump, who\u2019s on the campaign trail and is trying to compete with voices that are saying things every day that he cannot respond to without the risk of being fined, which he was, or going to prison for violating it,\u201d he said. \u201cThat affects not only President Trump. That affects every voter, whether they\u2019re going to vote for President Trump or against President Trump. That affects every single voter in this country, because they don\u2019t get to hear from the candidate. That is not true. It\u2019s just not true.
