Harlow, from Kingston, MA, was part of a conspiracy to block pregnant women from entering an abortion clinic in \u200dWashington,\u200b D.C. She was\u200c the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/why-a-federal-judge-shouldnt-toss-the-case-enabling-stefan-halper-to-pretend-russia-collusion-was-real\/\" title=\"Why A Federal Judge Shouldn\u2019t Toss The Case Enabling Stefan Halper To Pretend Russia Collusion Was Real\">final defendant<\/a> sentenced among nine co-conspirators, most receiving similar sentences.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p>The Department of Justice <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-dc\/pr\/final-defendant-sentenced-federal-civil-rights-conspiracy-and-freedom-access-clinic?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR0wMPxvDpcJJ_rfaCw6707jxiQdL9EB8y3fBS1bUCrTgdHMfqtCkPMcyB8_aem_AT7WC8BVCqVj3wr72S-hL82U0woACKjSlcQd40z56BvthGqiInBbWu20eTiZcQrMOwfMVDhEMQBsH89SpcuxvX6m\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced<\/a> on Friday that 75-year-old Paula Paulette Harlow was sentenced to two years in prison for violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act by taking part in a \u201cconspiracy\u201d to block pregnant women from entering an abortion clinic in Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n<p>Harlow of Kingston, Massachusetts, was the final defendant to be sentenced in the DOJ\u2019s prosecution of nine other \u201cco-conspirators,\u201d most of whom also received sentences of at least two years. Harlow\u2019s sentencing also comes months after The Daily Wire <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/pro-life-demonstrators-found-guilty-face-up-to-11-years-in-federal-prison\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> that six <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/seattle-suburb-backs-down-from-ban-on-abortion-clinic-protesters\/\" title=\"Seattle Suburb Backs Down From Ban on Abortion Clinic Protesters\">pro-life demonstrators<\/a> were found guilty and face up to 10.5 years in prison after the Biden administration charged them over a peaceful protest at a Tennessee abortion facility in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAccording to the evidence, on October 22, 2020, [Lauren] Handy \u2013 along with her co-conspirators Jonathan Darnel, John Hinshaw, William Goodman, Jean Marshall, Joan Bell, Herb Geraghty, Heather Idoni, and Paula Harlow, among others \u2013 forcefully entered the clinic and set about blockading two clinic doors using their bodies, furniture, chains, and ropes. Once the blockade was established, they live-streamed their activities,\u201d the DOJ said. \u201cThe evidence also showed that the defendants violated the FACE Act by using a physical obstruction to injure, intimidate and interfere with the clinic\u2019s employees and a patient, because they were providing or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-fbi-has-indicted-22-pro-life-protesters-and-zero-pregnancy-center-firebombers\/\" title=\"The FBI Has Indicted 22 Pro-Life Protesters and Zero Pregnancy Center Firebombers\">obtaining reproductive health services<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Handy, who was also recently sued by the Biden administration for violating the FACE Act at two abortion facilities in Ohio, was sentenced on May 14 to almost five years in prison and three years of supervised release for her role in the demonstration at the D.C. abortion clinic. Seventy-six-year-old Joan Bell was sentenced to 27 months in prison and Jean Marshall, 74, was also slapped with a two-year sentence.<\/p>\n<p>New Yorker Jay Smith, 34, was the only defendant to plead guilty in the trial and was sentenced to 10 months in prison and three years of supervised release.<\/p>\n<p>The D.C. abortion clinic demonstration was investigated by the FBI\u2019s Washington Field Office with help from the Metropolitan Police Department and the FBI\u2019s Pittsburgh Field Office, the DOJ said. The act was signed by President Bill Clinton 30 years ago, but has recently been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/republicans-call-for-repeal-of-weaponized-face-act-after-conviction-of-peaceful-pro-lifers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">scrutinized<\/a> by some Republicans, such as Rep.
