I mean, aside from those who still have a modicum of functioning gray matter.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, despite the predictions that voters would abandon presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump if he were found guilty of a felony, the guilty verdict in what\u2019s likely to be the former president\u2019s only court case before this November\u2019s election \u2014 Manhattan District Attorney <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/legal-expert-jonathan-turley-provides-ray-hope-trump-guilty-verdict-case-will-reversed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alvin Bragg\u2019s<\/a> patently absurd \u201cporn star hush money\u201d case in New York City \u2014 has only strengthened his hand.<\/p>\n<p>But don\u2019t just ask Trump or other conservatives. Instead, ask his campaign about the money they\u2019ve raised since the guilty verdict came down on Thursday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>As of Friday evening, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/05\/31\/us\/politics\/trump-fundraising-verdict.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The New York Times<\/a> reported, Trump\u2019s campaign announced it had raked in almost $53 million in the 24 hours since a jury <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/just-sentencing-date-trump-set-right-critical-election-event\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">found Trump guilty<\/a> of 34 counts in the Bragg case.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is hard to put the enormity of the sum into proper perspective, but it would nearly match, in a single day, the $58 million that Mr. Trump\u2019s main fund-raising arm raised online in the last six months of 2023, according to federal records,\u201d the Times reported.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe campaign first said on Friday morning it had collected nearly $35 million in the hours after the verdict. While Trump\u2019s donation site on Republican-centric fundraising platform WinRed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trumps-donation-site-crashes-right-crucial-verdict-shows-voters-stand\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">went down<\/a> in the aftermath of the verdict, the same thing can\u2019t be said for Biden\u2019s site on ActBlue. The justice system should be respected, and we should never allow anyone to tear it down. Like millions of\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/ieUwJn4hLq\">pic.twitter.com\/ieUwJn4hLq<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Biden-Harris HQ (@BidenHQ) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BidenHQ\/status\/1796598389213159514?\">May 31, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>It\u2019s here worth noting that the Biden family has long protested that first son Hunter Biden did nothing wrong and was, in fact, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/jill-suffering-mental-decline-says-hunter-innocent-even-joe-biden-suggested-isnt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">innocent<\/a>\u201d long before he was either given a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/hunters-lawyers-threatening-spectacle-joe-biden-witness-stand-key-part-biden-doj-sweetheart-deal-talks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sweetheart deal<\/a> by Biden\u2019s Department of Justice (which fell apart when a judge actually took a look at its preposterous tenets and gave it a hard pass) or was charged with crimes far more serious than anything lobbed at Trump in the Manhattan courtroom.<\/p>\n<p>But, please \u2014 do tell us about how you\u2019re standing up for those legal norms, Mr. Biden. You don\u2019t sound like a hypocrite at all.<\/p>\n<p>Whatever the case, the apparent willingness of everyone on the American left \u2014 the White House, the media, the DOJ, the Manhattan DA\u2019s office \u2014 to use this as a political finishing move on the Trump campaign seems to have backfired spectacularly. We could have told them this and saved them the trouble. Now, the spectacle in downtown Manhattan looks like a paid political advertisement for Trump \u2014 a development that should have Biden, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/alvin-braggs-team-begs-judge-pile-even-punishment-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bragg<\/a> and the rest of the lot nervous about the legacy of this farce.
