Experts Weigh In\">falsifying business records<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/05\/30\/us-news\/trump-makes-first-remarks-following-verdict-in-historic-hush-money-case\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York Post<\/a> reported on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>After he made his typical comments to reporters from the State Dining Room in the White House and addressed Trump\u2019s conviction, a reporter tried to elicit a further response as Biden was stiffly shuffling away from the podium.<\/p>\n<p>The reporter asked, \u201cCan you tell us sir, Donald Trump refers to himself as a political prisoner and blames you directly. What\u2019s your response to that, sir?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The prudent move would\u2019ve been to ignore the question altogether. But as he often does, Biden tried to respond, only for it to fail in spectacular fashion.<\/p>\n<p>In short: Biden\u2019s response could not have been creepier.<\/p>\n<p>He stopped his zombie-like shuffling, turned back toward the press, and delivered a creepy grin for several seconds, all without saying a word.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s the sort of behavior you\u2019d expect from a cheesy slasher movie villain, not the President of the United States.<\/p>\n<p>Biden then turned around, hesitated for a second as if he forgot what he was supposed to be doing, then hesitantly renewed his shambling walk out of the room.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Do you consider Trump a political prisoner?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Joe Biden is asked a question about Donald Trump being a political prisoner by his government.<\/p>\n<p>He grins for a few seconds before walking out of the room without saying anything. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/00ttZKSMBZ\">pic.twitter.com\/00ttZKSMBZ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Greg Price (@greg_price11) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/greg_price11\/status\/1796598927418064926?\">May 31, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>How does one even interpret that response? Was Biden grinning with glee? Was he trying to intimidate the reporter asking the question? Or is the 81-year-old starting crack under the pressure of a wayward re-election bid?<\/p>\n<p>Whatever the answer is, it\u2019s not good for Democrats \u2014 much in the same way this sham trial against Trump has not been good for the country at large.<\/p>\n<p>The whole trial against Trump has been labeled a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/desantis-puts-rivalry-aside-delivers-fiery-message-trumps-guilty-verdict-kangaroo-court\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">kangaroo court<\/a>, a sham, and a miscarriage of justice that has turned the U.S.A. into a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/jd-vance-takes-sledgehammer-bidens-banana-republic-fiery-speech-floor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">banana republic<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Ohio Republican Sen. J.D. Vance, for one, railed against the purely political trial in New York City, telling his social media followers, \u201cI object to this because we are living in a banana republic where the President is using his Department of Justice to go after his chief political rival, the person he will appear on the ballot with in about a year.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">No more banana republic stuff from Joe Biden. So long as he goes after his political opponents, I will hold nominations to the Department of \u201cJustice\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Tfc3d69ind\">pic.twitter.com\/Tfc3d69ind<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 J.D. Vance (@JDVance1) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JDVance1\/status\/1719792088454222158?\">November 1, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Former presidential <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/mending-fences-trump-says-honored-desantis-endorsement-wants-work-together\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">primary rival<\/a> Ron DeSantis, GOP Gov. of Florida, also blasted the verdict in New York City, and told his social media followers that the verdict was the \u201cculmination\u201d of a crooked process that was engineered to get the former president.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday\u2019s verdict represents the culmination of a legal process that has been bent to the political will of the actors involved: a leftist prosecutor, a partisan judge and a jury reflective of one of the most liberal enclaves in America\u2014all in an effort to \u2018get\u2019 Donald Trump,\u201d DeSantis said on his X account.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/top-republicans-blast-sham-trial-against-trump-nothing-more-than-political-persecution\/\" title=\"Leading GOP Figures Condemn 'Fake' Trial of Trump as Political Vendetta\">case\u2014involving alleged misdemeanor business records violations<\/a> from nearly a decade ago\u2014was even brought is a testament to the political debasement of the justice system in places like New York City. This is especially true considering this same <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/desantis-puts-rivalry-aside-delivers-fiery-message-after-trumps-guilty-verdict-kangaroo-court\/\" title=\"DeSantis Sets Aside Rivalry, Condemns Trump's Guilty Verdict as 'Kangaroo Court\">district attorney routinely excuses criminal conduct<\/a> in a way that has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/suspect-charged-with-murdering-college-student-after-being-released-from-custody\/\" title=\"Suspect Rearrested for College Student's Murder Following Initial Release\">endangered law-abiding citizens<\/a> in his jurisdiction,\u201d DeSantis continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is often said that no one is above the law, but it is also true that no one is below the law.
