Media Tries To Frame Him As Victim\">grand jury<\/a> in Travis County, Texas, indicted Mitchell Wasek on 21 counts of invasive visual recording, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox4news.com\/news\/son-buc-ees-co-founder-indicted-secretly-recording-house-guests-bathroom?utm_campaign=trueanthem&#038;utm_medium=trueanthem&#038;utm_source=facebook&#038;fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR2xDaSjnx8xVwWgNtJvLwXE5NsClVmvBhIQgvYP7nUj1norZbq2zwy59aM_aem_AY9oYrnYOypsf00XTMEjH6UkAKh-R5QICiEI2z-XF0_mrzqcAejLFjepd723sHmB_6Ntn89eqL7mh4bh2afOVcED\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KDFW-TV<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The indictment accuses the 28-year-old defendant of repeatedly recording guests in the bathroom of his family\u2019s home in Spicewood \u2014 about 30 miles northwest of Austin \u2014 without their knowledge.<\/p>\n<p>Thirteen separate victims were allegedly recorded by Wasek over the course of two years.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">INDICTED \ud83d\udea8 | A Travis County grand jury charged 28-year-old Mitchell Wasek, the son of a co-founder of Texas-based gas station chain Buc-ee\u2019s, with 21 counts of invasive visual recording.<br \/> READ MORE: <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/iqZHDTqgdo\">https:\/\/t.co\/iqZHDTqgdo<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Vikzqrb4aV\">pic.twitter.com\/Vikzqrb4aV<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 News 4 San Antonio (@News4SA) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/News4SA\/status\/1796128189686648922?\">May 30, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He was arrested in the matter in October, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kxan.com\/investigations\/son-of-buc-ees-co-founder-arrested-on-28-invasive-visual-recording-charges\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KXAN-TV<\/a> in Austin.<\/p>\n<p>A party guest at the Wasek home discovered a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/bombshell-report-epstein-appeared-threaten-expose-bill-gates-dirty-secret\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hidden camera<\/a> lodged in a charging port, according to police.<\/p>\n<p>Witnesses later examined the micro-card from the device and found footage of unknowing guests using the bathroom and undressing.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Have you ever been to a Buc-ee\u2019s?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>KDFW quoted an affidavit as saying the videos \u201cshowed individuals were recorded using toilets, showering, changing clothes, and\/or having sex.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Court documents said Wasek purchased <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/can-governments-spy-citizens-using-drones-michigan-supreme-court-set-decide-landmark-case\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">spy cameras<\/a> and other recording devices online.<\/p>\n<p>Travis County prosecutors said the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/nursing-director-may-face-prison-for-allegedly-making-fake-coronavirus-vaccine-cards\/\" title=\"Nursing Director May Face Prison for Allegedly Making Fake Coronavirus Vaccine Cards\">grand jury returned<\/a> six different indictments against Wasek on May 17, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kxan.com\/news\/local\/austin\/son-of-buc-ees-co-founder-indicted-after-invasive-visual-recording-accusations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KXAN<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Travis County District Attorney\u2019s Office takes the work of presenting all facts and evidence to a grand jury very seriously,\u201d District Attorney Jos\u00e9 Garza said of the charges, according to KDFW.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn this case, a group of independent Travis County community members heard the evidence and law and decided that Mr. Wasek\u2019s conduct was unlawful,\u201d Garza said.<\/p>\n<p>Wasek is the son of Donald Wasek, who co-founded the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/state-first-ever-buc-ees-location-texas-based-chain-announces\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">iconic Buc-ees chain<\/a> in 1982.<\/p>\n<p>An attorney for the younger Wasek defended his client\u2019s right to place cameras within his own home in a statement provided to KXAN on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDue to the ubiquitousness of video recording in modern society, this case involves the legal right to install cameras in one\u2019s own home,\u201d David Gonzalez said of the situation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMay a homeowner install a camera in his home without telling housekeepers or guests, or does the guest have a greater legal right than the homeowner?\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is one of many thorny legal issues we will be litigating in this case.\u201d<\/p>\n<hr>\n<div>\n<p><b><i>An Important Message from Our Staff:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span>We who work here at The Western Journal have fought for years against Big Tech and the elites who want to shut us down and then shut America down. <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>Make no mistake \u2014 nothing will be the same after November 2024.
