The teen requested the name change just days after it was publicized that her sister, Vivienne, 15, had stopped using \u201cPitt\u201d as part of her surname as well. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Vivienne, who is listed as a producer assistant for the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/entertainment\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Broadway musical<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">  \u201cThe Outsiders,\u201d uses the last name \u201cJolie\u201d in the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1402454\/brad-pitt-and-angelina-jolies-15-year-old-daughter-credited-as-vivienne-jolie-in-broadway-playbill\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Playbill<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Several outlets reported that the former couple\u2019s other children also aren\u2019t using the last name Pitt. Shiloh\u2019s petition is the first <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/taylor-swift-responds-to-lawsuit-claiming-she-lifted-lyrics-for-hit-shake-it-off\/\" title=\"Taylor Swift Responds To Lawsuit Claiming She Lifted Lyrics For Hit \u2018Shake It Off\u2019\">legal document filed<\/a> to formally request the change. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Pitt, 60, and Jolie, 48, began a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/apple-sued-over-airtags-allegedly-being-used-by-stalkers\/\" title=\"Apple Sued Over AirTags Allegedly Being Used By Stalkers\">contentious divorce<\/a> in 2016 after two years of marriage and 12 years together. Jolie had adopted Maddox from Cambodia and Zahara from Ethiopia prior to her relationship with Pitt. He adopted them legally after they got together. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The couple had their first biological child, Shiloh, in 2006. Next they adopted Pax from Vietnam. Finally, Jolie gave birth to twins, Knox and Vivienne, in 2008.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Court filings obtained by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/10\/04\/movies\/angelina-jolie-brad-pitt-lawsuit.html\">The New York Times<\/a> indicated that Jolie accused Pitt of domestic violence following a private flight from France to Los Angeles in 2016.
