His surprising answer inspired the room to go silent, then fellow contestant Tyra said, \u201cWhat?\u201d while host Pat Sajak said, \u201cNo.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Williams spoke with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/entertainment\/wheel-fortune-contestant-explains-risque-viral-answer-hopefully-everybody-got-kick-out-it\">Fox News Digital<\/a> about how friends and family have reacted to the gaffe, including the reaction his wife had to the sexually charged guess.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI tried to just beat my contestants by buzzing in first and letting my brain catch up,\u201d Williams told the outlet. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cAnd when my brain was ready to speak, I saw the R, I saw the B, I saw the T. I went for \u2018Right in the butt\u2019\u2026 And once [Sajak] said \u2018No,\u2019 oh, it was the worst feeling,\u201d he went on.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cNone of those common sense [thoughts like], \u2018Well, there wasn\u2019t enough letters for the word \u201cright\u201d\u2019 [or] \u2018This is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-decline-of-the-american-family-shown-in-4-statistics\/\" title=\"The Decline Of The American Family Shown In 4 Statistics\">family show<\/a>.\u2019 None of that is going through your head when you have 50 monitors above you, the lights are extra bright, there are 100 stagehands, there\u2019s producers, there\u2019s sound guys,\u201d Williams added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cAnd I was standing next to Pat, so I had to say something. I wasn\u2019t going to get buzzed without saying something. But they were great. They were gracious. They\u2019ve seen it all before. They may not have been expecting that. But, you know, they allowed me to continue with the show and, hopefully, everybody got a kick out of it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Williams explained how contestants aren\u2019t allowed to discuss show results until the episode airs despite it being taped months in advance. They couldn\u2019t believe it, and just the eye contact alone with everybody made them laugh again,\u201d he recalled of watching with everyone. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThey were all fine. It\u2019s more so, the younger kids are like, \u2018What did you say? Why did you say that?\u2019\u201d he said. \u201cThe older kids are like, \u2018I can\u2019t believe you said that.\u2019 And the adults are like, \u2018Tavaris, how?\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Williams said his wife of 19 years, Anesha, also reacted to her husband\u2019s answer. \u201cMy wife\u2019s like, \u2018I\u2019m married to a meme now.&#8217;\u201d he said. \u201cMy oldest son, he did say that it might be a tough day at school tomorrow. I was like, \u2018I\u2019m so sorry.\u2019 But everybody has been great.
