Upper III<\/span><\/a> <\/span> <span>   May 31, 2024 at 4:24am <\/span> <\/span>  <\/header>\n<section>\n<p>Ivanka Trump had a very special message for her dad, former President Donald Trump, following the Thursday guilty verdict from a Manhattan jury on all 34 felony counts of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/are-the-charges-brought-against-the-trump-organizations-cfo-part-of-a-witch-hunt-experts-weigh-in\/\" title=\"Are The Charges Brought Against The Trump Organization\u2019s CFO Part Of A Witch Hunt? Experts Weigh In\">falsifying business records<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3684794\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3684794\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3684794\">Donald Trump holding Ivanka as a child. (Ivanka Trump \/ Instagram screen shot)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Ivanka Trump posted an Instagram story of a picture of herself as a young child being held by her father, along with the caption, \u201cI love you dad\u201d and a heart emoji.<\/p>\n<p>The picture was perhaps 40 years old, but the message was timeless.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/05\/30\/us-news\/ivanka-trump-breaks-silence-after-father-is-found-guilty-in-hush-money-case\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York Post<\/a>, the message represented the first public remarks Ivanka Trump had made since her father\u2019s conviction Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The paper also said it had been told by unnamed sources that \u201cIvanka is fully supportive of her dad and loves him very much despite his conviction.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 12-person New York City jury found Donald Trump guilty on the second day of deliberations.<\/p>\n<p>Manhattan District Attorney <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/alvin-braggs-team-begs-judge-pile-even-punishment-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alvin Bragg<\/a> charged the former president with the 34 felony counts relation to a payment made to adult film star Stormy Daniels through his then-personal attorney <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/huge-michael-cohen-admits-stealing-thousands-trump-testimony-hush-money-trial\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Michael Cohen<\/a> before the 2016 presidential election.<\/p>\n<p>The jury indicated to Judge Juan Merchan that its had reached its verdict shortly after 4:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Is Trump being persecuted?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The jury had requested testimony from publishing executive David Pecker be read back to it, as well as testimony from Cohen. The jurors also wanted portions of its instructions read back to it on Thursday by the judge.<\/p>\n<p>Trump was expected to appeal the verdict. His attorneys cited multiple rulings Merchan made that they <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/breaking-crucial-verdict-has-been-reached-in-trumps-trial\/\" title=\"Breaking News: Important Decision Made in Trump's Trial\">argued unfairly prejudiced<\/a> the trial.<\/p>\n<p>One was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/fec-expert-witness-whose-testimony-denied-merchan-reveals-said-trump-trial\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">denying<\/a> testimony from former Federal Election Commission Chairman Bradley Smith, who said he would have testified that the payments to Daniels did not qualify as campaign expenses or donations.<\/p>\n<p>Another decision legal experts have honed in on was Merchan\u2019s instructions to the jury that they did not have to agree on what crime Trump committed in relation to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/indicting-trump-will-usher-in-americas-banana-republic-stage\/\" title=\"Indicting Trump Will Usher In America\u2019s Banana-Republic Stage\">allegedly falsifying business records<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Trump has consistently asserted his innocence.<\/p>\n<p>Following the verdict Trump told reporters, \u201cThis was a disgrace. This was a rigged trial by a conflicted judge who was corrupt.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe real verdict is going to be November 5th by the people,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s OK. I\u2019m fighting for our country.
