Additional episodes will continue to be released on Sunday and Thursday nights for the next month.<\/p>\n<p>The season was previously shown in theaters around the world starting in February, but after a long wait, it will now stream online. Jenkins shared the backstory about the delay in streaming the new season.<\/p>\n<p>The director explained in the YouTube announcement that he had gratitude for the involvement of Angel Studios in helping launch the show, but he had had disagreements with Angel Studios over its contract and business arrangement. He explained how <em>The Chosen<\/em> and Angel Studios separated into two separate apps and recently worked through their disagreements with a private arbitrator.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBoth Angel and <em>The Chosen<\/em> want this show to reach over a billion people, and both of us want the show to be sustainable. We just obviously have significant differences of opinion on how to do that and what our future should be,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>Jenkins added, \u201cGood people can disagree.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs of now, our contract with Angel Studios is terminated and the only place to watch Season Four is on our livestreams on our social media and <em>The Chosen<\/em> app or on DVD. Also, the only way to support <em>The Chosen<\/em> financially is by donating to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comeandseefoundation.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Come and See\">Come and See<\/a> or by purchasing gifts,\u201d the director said.<\/p>\n<p>Jenkins thanked Angel Studios and particularly the studio executives Neal, Jordan, and Jeffrey Harmon, known as the Harmon Brothers, for their \u201cextraordinary efforts in helping launch this show.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jenkins has been open about how <em>The Chosen<\/em> is a groundbreaking film project because it\u2019s financial support is from viewers and does not have the financial comfort of Hollywood\u2019s traditional big studio budgets.<\/p>\n<p>He launched <em>The Chosen <\/em>series in 2017 after he was inspired to make a multiseries biblical drama while filming a short biblical film.
