I feel like I\u2019m more social now than I was then. I was just too young.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI was taken advantage of,\u201d she added, laughing. \u201cYou can\u2019t be a young actress in Hollywood and not <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/movies\/jessica-alba-developed-warrior-persona-as-young-actress-to-deter-hollywood-predators\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">have predators around<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ringwald said while she was \u201cdefinitely in questionable situations,\u201d she does have \u201can incredible survival instinct and a pretty big superego,\u201d so she \u201cmanaged to figure out a way to protect myself.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cBut, yeah, it can be harrowing,\u201d the actress continued. \u201cAnd I have a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/molly-ringwald-says-daughter-mathilda-was-conceived-in-dressing-room-at-studio-54-8624452\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">20-year-old daughter<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">  now who is going into the same profession, even though I did everything I could to convince her to do something else.
