I\u2019m parking right now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou stationary?\u201d the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/judge-apologizes-paul-pelosi-attacker-truly-sorry-crucial-sentencing-error\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">judge<\/a> asked after waiting for Harris to stop.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m pulling in right now, at this second \u2026 Yes, I am,\u201d Harris said as he came to a stop.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll right, what are we doing?\u201d Simpson asked the defendant\u2019s attorney.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">NEW: Man with a suspended license joins court Zoom call while driving in his car.<\/p>\n<p>This is the funniest video I\u2019ve seen in a long time.<\/p>\n<p>Judge Cedric Simpson can be seen dumbfounded after defendant Corey Harris dialed into the meeting from his car.<\/p>\n<p>Simpson: \u201cMr. Harris, are\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/ydOKIMD7Ie\">pic.twitter.com\/ydOKIMD7Ie<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Collin Rugg (@CollinRugg) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CollinRugg\/status\/1795889034176377035?\">May 29, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Harris\u2019 attorney then asked to have the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/english-courts-talks-abandon-culturally-insensitive-hallmark-judges\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">case adjourned<\/a> for up to four weeks.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Have you ever seen something like this happen?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u201cSo maybe I don\u2019t understand something. This is a [case of] driving while <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/us\/crime\">license suspended<\/a>?\u201d the judge said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat is correct, your honor,\u201d Harris\u2019s attorney said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd he was just driving, and he doesn\u2019t have a license,\u201d the judge said.<\/p>\n<p>Harris\u2019s mouth hung open and he muttered \u201cUmmm \u2026\u201d as his attorney agreed with the judge.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m looking at his record. He doesn\u2019t have a license. He\u2019s suspended, and he was just driving,\u201d Simpson said.<\/p>\n<p>Harris again uttered, \u201cUmmm \u2026\u201d as his lawyer again agreed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t even know why he would do that,\u201d the judge said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo defendant\u2019s bond is revoked in this matter. The defendant is to turn himself into the Washtenaw County Jail by 6 p.m. today. Failure to turn himself in will result in a bench warrant with no bond,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOh my God,\u201d Harris muttered in response.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wilx.com\/2024\/05\/29\/watch-washtenaw-co-man-with-suspended-license-calls-into-zoom-court-while-driving\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WILX-TV<\/a> noted that during the start of the hearing, Harris appeared to be violating Michigan\u2019s hands-free driving law by holding the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/dem-lawmaker-introduces-bill-put-alcohol-like-age-restrictions-cellphone-use\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">phone in his hand<\/a> as he was driving.<\/p>\n<p>His next hearing is scheduled for June 5, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlive.com\/news\/ann-arbor\/2024\/05\/judge-shocked-after-michigan-man-tunes-into-suspended-license-hearing-while-driving.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MLive<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<div>\n<p><b><i>A Note from Our Deputy Managing Editor:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span>I heard a chilling comment the other day: \u201cWe don\u2019t even know if an election will be held in 2024.\u201d <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>That wasn\u2019t said by a conspiracy theorist or a doomsday prophet.
