The outcome\u200c of these requests holds the potential to sway the decision on Trump&#8217;s purported business crimes.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<header> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/news\/\">  News <\/a>   <span> <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/johnathanjones\/\">  <\/a> <\/p>\n<p> <span>   By <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/johnathanjones\/%20\"><span>Johnathan Jones<\/span><\/a> <\/span> <span>   May 29, 2024 at 1:38pm <\/span> <\/span>  <\/header>\n<section>\n<p>Jurors who are currently deliberating the outcome of former President Donald\u2019s criminal trial in New York City made a number of requests late Wednesday afternoon, according to the judge presiding over the case.<\/p>\n<p>Judge <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/judge-juan-merchan-hit-official-ethics-complaint-accused-judicial-misconduct\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Juan Merchan<\/a> announced that after about three and a half hours of deliberations, jurors had made four requests from the court as they mulled whether to find Trump guilty or not guilty of alleged business crimes in his so<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/georgia-appeals-court-gives-trump-great-news-in-his-fight-against-fani-willis\/\" title=\"Georgia Appeals Court Rules in Favor of Trump in Legal Battle with Fani Willis\">-called \u201chush money\u201d trial<\/a> in Manhattan, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/politics\/live-news\/trump-hush-money-trial-05-29-24#h_3e9a10c6039b194b9c48898fb72bda42\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNN<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>Merchan was handed a note and commented, \u201cThe note contains four requests.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Merchan said jurors wanted to again view testimony from former National Enquirer publisher <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-stunned-amazing-testimony-hush-money-trial-says-breathtaking\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">David Pecker<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Per the judge, the jurors requested Pecker\u2019s testimony \u201cregarding a phone conversation with Donald Trump while Pecker was\u201d in an investor meeting where Pecker and Michael Cohen discussed a claim from former Playboy model Karen McDougal that she had an affair with Trump years ago.<\/p>\n<p>Jurors also asked for testimony from Pecker about his \u201cdecision not to finalize and fund the assignment of Karen McDougal\u2019s life rights\u201d when he owned the tabloid.<\/p>\n<p>Merchan also announced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/msnbc-lawyer-worried-two-trump-jurors-might-know\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">jurors<\/a> wanted Pecker\u2019s comments in court about a meeting at Trump Tower and testimony from Cohen about the same meeting.<\/p>\n<p>According to CNN, the Trump Tower meeting in question took place in August 2015, shortly after Trump launched his first presidential bid.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Will the jury find Trump guilty?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Trump, Cohen and Pecker were all said to have been present at the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/live-updates\/trump-trial-testimony-david-pecker\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CBS News<\/a> noted, Pecker testified extensively in the trial that he worked to \u201ccatch and kill\u201d stories for Trump from people who sought to damage his reputation. Pecker said he did so for years before and during <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-trump-goes-off-corrupt-judge-merchan-verdict-nears-says-even-mother-teresa-couldnt-beat-charges\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trump\u2019s<\/a> time as president and that the two were friends.<\/p>\n<p>The 12 New Yorkers will decide the outcome of the first-ever criminal trial of a former president.<\/p>\n<p>Trump stands accused of 34 counts of falsifying business records.<\/p>\n<p>If convicted, he could <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ron-desantis-will-pardon-those-charged-with-covid-crimes\/\" title=\"Ron DeSantis Will Pardon Those Charged With COVID Crimes\">face jail time<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He has denied any wrongdoing and has denied claims from both McDougal and former adult film actress Stormy Daniels that they had affairs with him years ago.<\/p>\n<p>Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has alleged that Cohen paid Daniels $130,000 to make her claims of an affair go away and that Trump doctored records when he reimbursed him.<\/p>\n<p>Cohen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/huge-michael-cohen-admits-stealing-thousands-trump-testimony-hush-money-trial\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">admitted<\/a> during testimony last week that he stole tens of thousands of dollars from Trump\u2019s company in one instance.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<div>\n<p><b><i>An Important Message from Our Staff:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span>In just a few months, the world is going to change forever.
