This friendship, especially \u200bon\u2064 vaccine and policy\u200d matters, hints at a complex\u2062 presidential preference for Paul.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Sen. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/rand-paul\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Rand Paul<\/a> (R-KY) has not decided whether to endorse former President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Donald Trump<\/a> for president a third time, and his relationship with another <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/section\/news\/campaigns\/presidential\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>presidential<\/a> candidate looks to complicate matters.<\/p>\n<p>A source <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/elections\/inside-rfk-jr-s-political-bromance-with-rand-paul\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>told<\/a> the <em>Washington Free Beacon<\/em> that in recent months, \u201cPaul has cozied up to third-party <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/joe-biden-knows-he-messed-up-on-fracking-at-debate-and-is-now-doing-damage-control-the-daily-wire\/\" title=\"Joe Biden Knows He Messed Up On Fracking At Debate And Is Now Doing Damage Control | The Daily Wire\">presidential candidate<\/a> Robert F. Kennedy Jr.,\u201d though he reportedly promised the Trump campaign his endorsement earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>They have reportedly had several <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ny-gov-cuomo-shunned-experts-embraced-lobbyists-drove-top-health-officials-to-quit-over-pandemic-response-report\/\" title=\"NY Gov. Cuomo Shunned Experts, Embraced Lobbyists, Drove Top Health Officials To Quit Over Pandemic Response: Report\">closed-door meetings<\/a> and share the services of Paul\u2019s chief strategist, Doug Stafford, who received money for his advisement of the Kennedy campaign.The <em>Washington Examiner<\/em> contacted Paul and the Kennedy campaign to confirm the report but did not receive a response.<\/p>\n<p>Outside of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/why-this-average-american-is-voting-for-donald-trump\/\" title=\"Why This Average American Is Voting for Donald Trump\">social media post<\/a> the Kennedy campaign made in January showing the independent posing with Paul and his book, and a separate post in which the Kentucky senator <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RandPaul\/status\/1752742626795679989\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>endorsed<\/a> Kennedy\u2019s book as well, Paul has continued to pay attention to the third-party candidate.<\/p>\n<figure>\n<div>\n<blockquote data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Had a wonderful talk with <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RandPaul?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@RandPaul<\/a> this morning about issues we share in common \u2014 restoring free speech and ending forever wars, chronic disease epidemics, agency capture, and government waste. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/VwdQSHBH45\">pic.twitter.com\/VwdQSHBH45<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Robert F. Kennedy Jr (@RobertKennedyJr) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RobertKennedyJr\/status\/1745168834967846992?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 10, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>The two appear to be strongly linked in their vaccine opinions, and Paul posted more about Kennedy than Trump on X in April, with a few posts showing his admiration.<\/p>\n<p>Paul agreed with Kennedy\u2019s challenge of the TikTok ban.<\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<p>And he also seemingly agreed with Kennedy\u2019s negative stance toward U.S. involvement in Ukraine.<\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<p>But one key statement from Paul further indicates his preference for president could be murky. He <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RandPaul\/status\/1778533889218334875\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>posted<\/a> about his appearance on Kennedy\u2019s podcast, in which the pair talked extensively about COVID-19, the vaccine, and former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Anthony Fauci.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been an opponent of you on some issues, but a great admirer always, always for your integrity, for your fearless championship of civil rights, constitutional rights, for your outspokenness about the military-industrial complex, and about the U.S. addiction to war,\u201d Kennedy said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou and I have found ourselves very, very close together since the beginning of COVID on so many issues. \u2026 I have nothing but admiration for you,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n<p>At one point, Kennedy asked Paul if he thought Fauci and others would face prosecution in relation to COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think it will require another president,\u201d Paul said, declining to specify. \u201c\u2026 But I think it\u2019s going to take a different president, somebody that will appoint people that are free of conflicts to actually be in charge of this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title><strong>CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Paul is a strong <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RandPaul\/status\/1795783033510854877\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>critic<\/a> of President Joe Biden and has yet to follow through on a promised endorsement of Trump, suggesting he might be contemplating endorsing the third-party candidate.<\/p>\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/FLAKayleigh\/status\/1745824773601427801\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>another<\/a> post detailing his opinions of presidential candidates in January, Paul said \u201cthere\u2019s a lot to like there\u201d about Trump, that he was a \u201cbig fan\u201d of the fiscal conservatism Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) exhibited, and mentioned Vivek Ramaswamy and Kennedy. The only stance he took in the post was his condemnation of former South Carolina Gov.
