Michael Tyler, a Biden campaign spokesman, told Brzezinski that the decision to host the conference outside the Trump trial stems from the media attention the trial has received.<\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cMichael, I get everything you\u2019re saying, and I agree with the officers who showed up and with Robert De Niro,\u201d Brzezinski said on <em>Morning Joe<\/em>. \u201cBut I\u2019m just curious about the location. Last week, when the members of Congress showed up to support Donald Trump, I called it unbecoming of the office, of their serving the people of their district, American citizens. They\u2019re not supposed to politicize a court proceeding. I\u2019m just, I feel the same way about the campaign. Is there any concern about the campaign getting a little bit too close to these court proceedings, and could that backfire?\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/opinion\/3019432\/bidens-courthouse-folly\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>BIDEN\u2019S COURTHOUSE FOLLY<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Brzezinski asked if the Biden campaign had any concern about \u201cgetting a little bit too close\u201d to Trump\u2019s court proceedings and if doing so could backfire on the campaign in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/2024-elections\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>its reelection bid<\/a>. Tyler contended the campaign is not speaking about \u201cthe substance\u201d of the trial but is discussing \u201cthe unique threat\u201d Trump poses to democracy.<\/p>\n<p>The campaign\u2019s move of recruiting De Niro for a conference outside Trump\u2019s trial <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/opinion\/3019432\/bidens-courthouse-folly\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-slammed-over-embarrassing-press-conference-let-the-25th-amendment-discussions-begin\/\" title=\"Biden Slammed Over \u2018Embarrassing\u2019 Press Conference: \u2018Let The 25th Amendment Discussions Begin\u2019\">widely criticized online<\/a><\/a>, with the <em>Washington Examiner\u2019s<\/em> Byron York stating that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/presidential\/3019957\/de-niro-remarks-biden-strategy-byron-york\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>the campaign could not wait for a verdict<\/a> on Trump\u2019s trial before addressing it.
