Just days prior, Politico <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2024\/05\/24\/biden-trump-trial-verdict-00159981\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a> that Biden will comment from the White House on the impending verdict in the show trial once it\u2019s delivered. As if Biden\u2019s previous decisions to taunt Trump for being detained in court and fundraise off the lawfare campaign weren\u2019t enough evidence, Team Biden\u2019s last-minute press calls confirm the inherently political nature of the lawfare spectacle.<\/p>\n<p>The campaign enlisted anti-Trump actor Robert De Niro and former Capitol Police officers Harry Dunn and Michael Fanone to act as surrogates for the president outside the courtroom where Trump\u2019s defense is making closing arguments. Biden\u2019s campaign, however, made its first appearance Tuesday, the same day closing arguments are held and the same week the jury will begin deliberations.<\/p>\n<p>Tyler also said Biden\u2019s team would campaign against Trump \u201cas he sits in that building,\u201d referring to the courthouse. Trump has been kept off the campaign trail for weeks for a case experts have dubbed \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/04\/16\/trump-will-be-in-court-instead-of-campaigning-for-8-weeks-thanks-to-democrats-new-york-lawfare\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dubious<\/a>\u201d at best.<\/p>\n<p>While speaking to reporters, De Niro <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/05\/28\/us-news\/robert-de-niro-headlines-bizarre-biden-campaign-presser-outside-trump-trial-youre-a-f-ing-idiot\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">alleged<\/a> Trump could \u201cdestroy the whole world\u201d if he wins.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-bcb688903512f21e4c3c84f5b6767931 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-bcb688903512f21e4c3c84f5b6767931\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cAnd elections? Forget about it. That\u2019s over,\u201d De Niro baselessly said, according to the New York Post. \u201cThat\u2019s done. If [Trump] gets in, I can tell you right now. He will never leave. He will never leave. You know that. He will never leave.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Spectators in the left-wing enclave were <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CollinRugg\/status\/1795478984932893009\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">less than pleased<\/a> with De Niro\u2019s appearance, with some shouting down the \u201cwashed up\u201d actor and calling him a \u201cnobody.\u201d De Niro responded by calling people \u201cgangsters\u201d before shouting \u201cf-ck you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For his part, Fanone trotted out Democrats\u2019 dramatic narrative about Jan. 6, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI came here today to remind Americans of what Donald Trump is capable of and the violence that he unleashed on all of Americans on Jan. 6, 2021,\u201d Fanone <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/trump-de-niro-biden-insurrection-hush-money-78a33c5083a243e18f9fbd63ce9e8ddd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-6e2c971d9416271d95fe53d313519bec fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-6e2c971d9416271d95fe53d313519bec\"><\/div>\n<p>Their appearance came just days after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2024\/05\/24\/biden-trump-trial-verdict-00159981\">Politico<\/a>, citing \u201cfour people familiar with internal deliberations,\u201d reported Biden will address the lawfare case after a verdict is reached. Biden plans to make such an appearance from the White House to \u201cshow his statement isn\u2019t political,\u201d Politico reported.<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s team is gearing up to use a potential conviction to argue that \u201cTrump is ill-suited for office and that [the verdict] demonstrates the extremes to which the former president would go to win again,\u201d Politico reported. \u201cThe campaign\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/starbucks-received-insensitive-backlash-for-going-woke-now-they-may-depart-facebook-altogether\/\" title=\"Starbucks Received \u2018Insensitive\u2019 Backlash For Going Woke. Now They May Depart Facebook Altogether.\">social media team<\/a> is considering leveraging the line of attack further, with discussions underway about referring to the ex-president online as \u2018Convicted Felon Donald Trump.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The decision by the Biden campaign and its \u201cspecial guests\u201d to use the weaponization of the justice system as a backdrop further confirms the political nature of the show trials. <\/p>\n<p>We already knew that former No. 3 in Biden\u2019s Department of Justice, Matthew Colangelo, was hired to help \u201cjump-start\u201d the lawfare against Trump in Manhattan, as pointed out by my colleague <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/04\/12\/manhattan-d-a-enlisted-a-whos-who-of-biden-admin-buddies-for-trump-takedown\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Margot Cleveland<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg\u2019s predecessor, Cyrus Vance, previously <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/03\/19\/witness-selection-and-last-minute-docs-dump-whats-new-in-braggs-get-trump-hush-money-lawfare\/#:~:text=Bragg's%20%E2%80%9Cget%20Trump%E2%80%9D%20crusade%20is,chair%20helped%20Biden%20raise%20%24100%2C000.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hired<\/a> three outside lawyers from a firm that hosted a $2,800 per-plate fundraiser for Biden in 2020.
