The company, Arthur Grand Technologies Inc., posted the ad in March 2023 on Indeed. The ad specified &#8220;Only&#8221; white U.S. citizens. In Ashburn, Virginia, Arthur Grand \u200cTechnologies Inc., an IT company, was fined $38,000 for a discriminatory job ad \u200dexclusively\u200b targeting white \u200dcitizens. The ad, posted\u200d on Indeed in March 2023, specified that only\u200d white U.S. citizens were eligible.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_78\">\n<p>An information technology company headquartered in Ashburn, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/virginia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Virginia<\/a>, must pay more than $38,000 in fines for a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/im-not-to-judge-anti-pipeline-activist-dismissed-pedophilia-allegation-against-colleague\/\" title=\"\u2018I\u2019m Not to Judge\u2019: Anti-Pipeline Activist Dismissed Pedophilia Allegation Against Colleague\">job posting<\/a> seeking only to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/report-top-health-insurance-provider-tells-employees-not-to-hire-white-men\/\" title=\"Report: Top Health Insurance Provider Tells Employees Not To Hire White Men\">hire white<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/citizenship\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>U.S. citizens<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>The job posting was made on Indeed by Arthur Grand Technologies Inc. in March 2023. <\/p>\n<p>An <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.is\/M4GvO\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>archive<\/a> of the post reveals that the information technology services firm wanted \u201cOnly Born US Citizens [White] who are local within 60 miles from Dallas, TX.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The job posting sparked outrage on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/why-this-average-american-is-voting-for-donald-trump\/\" title=\"Why This Average American Is Voting for Donald Trump\">social media<\/a>, and an investigation by the Department of Justice began just a couple of months later in May.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is shameful that in the 21st century, we continue to see employers using \u2018whites only\u2019 and \u2018only US born\u2019 job postings to lock out otherwise eligible job candidates of color,\u201d Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke with the DOJ\u2019s Civil Rights Division said in the release.<\/p>\n<p>The company must pay a $7,500 civil penalty to the Treasury Department and $31,000 to people who filed federal complaints about the job posting.<\/p>\n<p>The company\u2019s CEO, Sheik Rahmathullah, told CNN that the post was made by a disgruntled employee.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hunter-biden-files-suit-against-ex-trump-aide-for-posting-infamous-laptop-files-online\/\" title=\"Hunter Biden sues former Trump aide for sharing laptop files online.\">unauthorized posting<\/a> was made by an upset employee on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) from their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bidens-supreme-court-pick-shielded-top-clinton-aide-amid-email-scandal\/\" title=\"Biden\u2019s Supreme Court Pick Shielded Top Clinton Aide Amid Email Scandal\">personal email address<\/a> and account,\u201d Rahmathullah said in an email to the outlet. \u201cUpon discovering this, we took immediate and decisive action to ensure that this type of incident will never happen again, including the immediate termination of the responsible employee.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The employee had allegedly taken an existing job posting and added discriminatory language to it before reposting it from their own personal account. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/\"><strong>CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The DOJ found that a recruiter working for Arthur Grand\u2019s subsidiary in India had made the job posting. <\/p>\n<p>Arthur Grand will also be required to provide workplace training on federal discrimination laws and be subjected to DOJ monitoring.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A tech firm in Ashburn, Virginia, faces over $38,000 in fines for a discriminatory job ad targeting only white U.S. citizens.
