The kids from Colorado are back at it with large doses of political incorrectness, highlighting the hypocrisy of the elite and the lies they tell about new weight-loss drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy.<\/p>\n<p>Celebs such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrity-body\/pictures\/mindy-kalings-body-evolution-diet-through-the-years\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mindy Kaling<\/a>, Christina Aguilera, and Jessica Simpson have shed more than a few pounds in the past year, all claiming to have done it through lifestyle changes alone. Aguilera claims to follow a \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.stylecraze.com\/articles\/christina-aguilera-weight-loss\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">rainbow diet<\/a>,\u201d eating only foods of a particular color on any given day. Simpson credits <a href=\"https:\/\/www.womenshealthmag.com\/weight-loss\/a29245539\/jessica-simpson-weight-loss-instagram-photos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">walking and cauliflower<\/a> for her dramatic 100-pound loss after her third baby. If 10,000 steps and some cruciferous vegetable is all it took, I\u2019d look like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.santacruzsentinel.com\/2008\/02\/12\/santa-cruzs-marisa-miller-on-si-swimsuit-cover\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Marissa Miller<\/a> circa 2008.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2-long d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-95303070\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1379703300879-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-0510d6a95cba7a00184494fcd765cc1e fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-0510d6a95cba7a00184494fcd765cc1e\"><\/div>\n<p>When one of the mothers of \u201cSouth Park\u201d compliments a \u201cMILF\u201d on her svelte shape, which all the MILFS flaunt throughout the episode with half shirts, she responds, \u201cOh yea, just working out a lot. Doing Pilates and stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m not a betting girl, but I\u2019d put money on the fact that these celebs, like the MILFS of \u201cSouth Park,\u201d are using Ozempic or Wegovy, also known as semaglutide, the GLP-1 agonist that produces dramatic results quickly. They have gone beyond shedding a few pounds to looking as if they\u2019ve lost control of their rapid weight loss. Late last year, Sharon Osborne warned of the downside of the drugs, saying she lost too much weight and expressed concern that they would lead to unhealthy habits in young women. \u201cIt\u2019s just too easy,\u201d she told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/femail\/article-12747755\/Sharon-Osbourne-opens-Russell-Brand-shocking-weight-loss-stormy-marriage-turned-blind-eye-Ozzys-groupies.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the Daily Mail<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A licensed psychologist who specializes in eating disorders in New York City, <a href=\"https:\/\/drconason.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Alexis Conason<\/a>, says that she is seeing behavior similar to that of anorexia in those who take the popular weight-loss drugs. \u201cWe see [clients] consuming very, very few calories for the day and starting to veer into anorexia.\u201d She is concerned with what the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.psychiatry.org\/psychiatrists\/practice\/dsm\">DSM<\/a> calls \u201catypical anorexia\u201d \u2014 a condition in which an individual exhibits all of the criteria for anorexia nervosa except that despite significant weight loss, the individual\u2019s weight is within or above the normal range.<\/p>\n<p>Exhibiting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=fIGEnwmjd2A\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dramatic weight loss<\/a>, Oprah finally came clean about her use of medication to drop pounds. She says she no longer feels shame about doing whatever she needs to shed the excess weight, stating willpower was not enough and enforcing the notion that obesity is a disease.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-bd57a79b2d9d82de65b21d54442f68c6 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-bd57a79b2d9d82de65b21d54442f68c6\"><\/div>\n<p>Good on her for coming clean, although I\u2019m not sure her motives were altogether altruistic. A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/investigates\/special-report\/health-obesity-novonordisk-doctors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Reuter\u2019s analysis<\/a> reported that Novo Nordisk, the pharmaceutical company that manufactures both Ozempic and Wegovy, paid at least $25.8 million over a decade in fees and expenses related to its weight-loss drugs, specifically targeting an elite group of obesity specialists who advocate giving its powerful and expensive drugs to tens of millions of Americans. It wouldn\u2019t be outrageous to speculate Oprah may have been a recipient of similar outlays. <\/p>\n<p>Her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecut.com\/article\/biggest-takeaways-oprahs-ozempic-special.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">popular<\/a> special on weight loss in December of last year, \u201cShame, Blame and the Weight Loss Revolution,\u201d was essentially an infomercial for the drugs, and she divested from Weight Watchers due to a potential \u201cconflict of interest.\u201d The popular weight-loss company recently launched a new membership program to prescribe Ozempic and Wegovy to clients.<\/p>\n<p>Kelly Clarkson also recently came clean about her use of a weight-loss medication after denying it to the public. In her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=LRgF39vAgmY\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">recent interview<\/a> with Whoopi Goldberg, the singer-turned-talk show host said she didn\u2019t realize how large she had become. Goldberg agreed, saying the drugs are \u201cgreat for people like us who have issues.\u201d Find me a woman who doesn\u2019t have \u201cissues\u201d if they\u2019re trying to lose weight, and I\u2019ll show you one who really loves eating raw kale!<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Rules for Thee!<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>This is all brought to you by the same cohort of people who previously blasted society\u2019s diet culture and obsession with women\u2019s bodies. The ones who always tell us to be comfortable in the skin we\u2019re in and unashamed for not fitting into societal standards of beauty. \u201cYou don\u2019t have to be skinny to be happy,\u201d they say. \u201cYou just need to be yourself!\u201d they shout. They then promptly turn around to inject their body with drugs, plastic, and lord knows what else to turn them into a <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/kim-kardashian-calls-breathing-art-form-sucked-into-corset-2024-met-gala-video-8644937\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">caricature<\/a> of a younger version of themselves.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-f603d1520941991451813ceb54b42a3d fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-f603d1520941991451813ceb54b42a3d\"><\/div>\n<p>Kaling was at the forefront of the body-positivity movement, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrity-body\/news\/mindy-kaling-shares-bikini-photos-with-body-positive-message\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reminding women<\/a> several years back that \u201cevery body is a bikini body!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In her more robust days, <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/tv\/christina-aguilera-the-voice-coach-talks-about-her-body\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Aguilera told People magazine<\/a>, \u201cYou got to be a strong, powerful, very confident woman,\u201d and that \u201cas long as I am happy in my own skin, that is all that is all [sic] the confirmation I need.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Oprah <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oprah.com\/omagazine\/oprah-winfrey-on-body-image-what-i-know-for-sure-by-oprah\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wrote<\/a> on her magazine\u2019s website, \u201cAfter spending the past 10 weeks in class with Eckhart Tolle, studying his book <em>A New Earth<\/em>, I know for sure that I am not my body.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Elites in every field, from entertainment to politics, get paid millions of dollars to live a lie. Everyone knows about their duplicitous existences, yet they insist on promoting one thing in front of the camera and acting completely antithetical to the narrative they endorse. They lower the standards for everyone else, while they continue to strive for increased status, wealth, accomplishment, and yes, thinness. As Eric Cartman points out, \u201cRich people get Ozempic, poor people get body positivity,\u201d hilariously exemplified by the new drug called \u201cLizzo.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Honesty Is the Best Policy<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>I don\u2019t take issue with people wanting to lose weight or taking Ozempic or any other quick trick weight-loss drug. We should celebrate healthy behavior. The fact that some women feel betrayed by other women who drop pounds like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/adele-reveals-backlash-weight-loss-says-some-fans-felt-betrayed-1721442\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Adele did<\/a> is ridiculous. Do I believe the GLP-1s are damaging to society as a whole and sending the wrong message to women young and old? Yes. But like everything else, I\u2019m not in the business of preventing others from indulging in their drug addictions. (Until they push it on kids, which is starting to happen with these new weight-loss tools.)<\/p>\n<p>Doctors have been very clear that to keep the weight off, people need to take these <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/oprah-insists-obesity-is-a-disease-in-new-doc-touting-ozempic\/\" title=\"Oprah emphasizes obesity as a 'disease' in new documentary promoting Ozempic\">drugs long-term<\/a>, possibly for the rest of their lives, insinuating obesity is an uncontrollable disease. It\u2019s not. While it can be more complicated for some people, like many chronic illnesses, dedication to well-informed lifestyle changes will result in drastically different health outcomes for most. Pharmaceuticals like semaglutide often simply mask symptoms of disordered eating and body image without addressing underlying conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Despite knowing all this, if I\u2019m honest, I\u2019ve considered shooting myself up with one of these quick fixes. While I\u2019ve never really struggled with my weight, I have wrestled with my perception of my body. However, I realize that my feelings are <em>grossly<\/em> misaligned with reality. I take care of myself and by all objective measures, I am healthy. I know there are no shortcuts and that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/former-top-coronavirus-task-force-official-blasts-biden-wed-have-to-slow-down-to-meet-his-goal\/\" title=\"Former Top Coronavirus Task Force Official Blasts Biden: We\u2019d Have To \u2018Slow Down\u2019 To Meet His Goal\">long-term damage<\/a> of taking pharmaceuticals would likely outweigh (pun intended) any short-term narcissistic satisfaction that will result from dropping from a size six to a size four. In short, logic overrides my crazy.<\/p>\n<p>But if there is anything celeb culture encourages, it\u2019s crazy. With every resource at their fingertips, rarely are elites the exemplary of restraint or critical thinking. Their money shelters them from experiencing the consequences of the terrible ideas they endorse. They can create an alternate reality for themselves, while most others live with the costs of poor decision-making.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, they tell women to love their bodies just as they are and then turn around and enthusiastically support the mutilation of young women who don\u2019t feel comfortable in their bodies in an impossible attempt to switch sex. Which is it? Love thyself or self-loathing? No wonder they\u2019re so confused. Nothing they say is based in empirical truth.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019d have more respect for them if they were just honest about reality. Humans enjoy beauty, whether it takes the form of a majestic mountain or a <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/05\/20\/stop-putting-non-models-on-sports-illustrated-swimsuit-covers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">woman\u2019s healthy physique<\/a>. We celebrate discipline, excellence, and ingenuity. We all have an innate fear of death and pain and will go to extreme measures to avoid our descent into oblivion.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, the elite live life behind a veil of lies.
