Two vessels ended up\u200d near the Gaza pier while two others reached Israeli beaches near Ashkelon. Meanwhile, the pier continues\u2062 to function as necessary.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p>Several U.S. Military vessels operating on President Joe Biden\u2019s $320 million Gaza pier ran ashore in Gaza and Israel late last week after they broke free from their moorings due to choppy maritime conditions.<\/p>\n<p>The incident on Saturday resulted in two vessels running ashore in Gaza near the pier while two others washed up on Israeli beaches near Ashkelon.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEfforts to recover the vessels are under way with assistance from the Israeli Navy,\u201d U.S. Central Command said in a statement. \u201cThe IDF is supporting the recovery efforts near the pier. No U.S. personnel will enter Gaza. No injuries have been reported and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/us-military-boats-encounter-rough-seas-during-aid-mission-to-gaza\/\" title=\"US military vessels face challenges in Gaza aid mission due to rough seas\">pier remains fully functional<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>NPR reported that the vessels that ran ashore in Israel were a tugboat and a landing craft mechanized (LCM). Roughly a third of that aid was hijacked and stolen.<\/p>\n<p>Three U.S. service members were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/3-u-s-soldiers-injured-including-1-critically-during-operation-on-bidens-gaza-pier\">injured<\/a> last week during an operation supporting the transfer of humanitarian assistance into Gaza.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn May 23, a U.S. service member sustained a non-combat related injury aboard USNS Benavidez (T-AKR 306) while in support of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/russia-begins-bombing-ukraines-far-western-city-of-lviv\/\" title=\"Russia Begins Bombing Ukraine\u2019s Far-Western City of Lviv\">humanitarian aid mission<\/a> to Gaza,\u201d a U.S. defense official said. \u201cThe service member was transported to a medical facility and is in critical condition at this time.
