How The Hell Else Does Fauci Still Have A Job?\u2019\u2019\">wide-ranging speech<\/a> this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/republican-party\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Republican<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/georgia-state-senator-reported-results-must-be-viewed-as-untrustworthy\/\" title=\"Georgia State Senator: \u201cReported Results Must Be Viewed As Untrustworthy\u201d\">lieutenant governor<\/a> keyed in on education as he spoke at the North Carolina Republican Party Convention in Greensboro, slamming school officials \u201cwho think they know more than you, know your children better than you, who believe it\u2019s okay to feed your children a steady diet of communism and pornography,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wral.com\/story\/mark-robinson-lays-out-conservative-agenda-citing-nc-governor-s-power-to-shape-state-government\/21450811\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>per<\/a> state outlet WRAL. He also shared how he believes the Tar Heel State\u2019s economy is ready to \u201cexplode.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNorth Carolina is literally on the cusp of exploding economically,\u201d Robinson said. \u201cIt\u2019s time for us to direct that explosion in the right way and cause this state to be something better than it already is.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure><figcaption>Lt. (Woody Marshall\/News &#038; Record via AP)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Robinson has explored similar themes to national Republicans in his bid to win in November, focusing on parental rights, the economy, and environmental regulations. But he also outlined how he intends to appoint people \u201cwho will hold sway\u201d over the operations of state government.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2026 That\u2019s what we intend to bring, to the office of the governor,\u201d he said. \u201cWe intend to bring change.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Robinson and Democratic Attorney General Josh Stein are running to replace Gov. Roy Cooper (D-NC), who is term-limited and cannot run for reelection. The election is expected to be close, as is the state\u2019s status for the presidential election, with Democrats <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/3017635\/dnc-launches-first-billboard-campaign-targeting-trumps-options-for-vice-president\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>working hard<\/a> to get President Joe Biden elected and flip the state blue.<\/p>\n<p>Former President Donald Trump has endorsed Robinson, calling him in March \u201cMartin Luther King on steroids.\u201d During his speech on Saturday, Robinson defended Trump against what he saw as a media more focused on the trials Trump is up against than the \u201cfailures of the Democratic Party.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure><figcaption>Lara Trump speaks as Eric Trump listens at the North Carolina GOP convention in Greensboro, N.C., Friday, May 24, 2024.
