But they know that the jurors are out there listening. And I have concerns about that. Time is \u2014 can be on your side sometimes. You\u2019re right there,\u201d she went on.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut, in this instance, I have worries about them going back to whatever friends might have Trump Derangement Syndrome, forgetting all sense of reality, and coming back and sitting in that box and saying, \u2018You know what, I have got to take one for the DNC (Democratic National Committee),&#8217;\u201d Habba said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t want that. I want law to fact, because, if we can get that, we will win, we will not just get a hung jury, we will get an acquittal. So let\u2019s see,\u201d she concluded.<\/p>\n<p>Trump has pleaded not guilty to 34 felony counts of falsifying business records to allegedly cover up payments in a bid to conceal damaging information as part of a \u201ccatch-and-kill\u201d scheme to influence the 2016 election. His <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/defense-rests-in-ahmaud-arbery-murder-trial\/\" title=\"Defense Rests In Ahmaud Arbery Murder Trial\">defense team rested<\/a> their case last week \u2014 without calling the former president to the stand.<\/p>\n<p>A paralegal and Robert Costello, a lawyer who advised former Trump fixer Michael Cohen, served as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbs.org\/newshour\/politics\/prosecution-rests-in-trumps-hush-money-case-and-defense-now-gets-its-turn-to-call-witnesses\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">only two<\/a> witnesses for the defense. Trump\u2019s lawyers had also wanted campaign finance expert Bradley Smith to testify, but he did not take the stand after the judge <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/live-updates\/trump-hush-money-trial\/judge-wont-let-defense-expand-expert-witness-testimony-110397633?id=110388136\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">placed limits<\/a> on what he could say.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors, led by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/defense-rests-without-testimony-from-trump-in-hush-money-case\/\" title=\"Trump did not testify in hush-money case, defense rests\">presented 20 witnesses<\/a> and more than 200 exhibits over several weeks of testimony.
