Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Whip Sen. John Thune (R-SD), GOP Steering Committee chairman Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT), and other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/Republican\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Republican<\/a> senators attended the lunch. <\/p>\n<p>Some senators pitched policy priorities that could come to fruition if Trump wins the presidency.<\/p>\n<p>The gist of the meeting is that a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/government-funding-bill-will-include-12-billion-in-additional-ukraine-spending\/\" title=\"Government Funding Bill Will Include  Billion in Additional Ukraine Spending\">temporary funding bill<\/a> could remove distractions among Republicans as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/2024-elections\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>general election<\/a> approaches. The proposed resolution would last through February or March.
