Unauthorized possession of these medications can lead to up \u200dto five years in prison, aiming \u200dto safeguard women&#8217;s health. Louisiana\u2063 Governor Jeff Landry\u200c (R)\u200d has \u200dsigned a law prohibiting mifepristone\u200c and \u200cmisoprostol, commonly used for \u2062abortion, and classifying them \u200bas Schedule IV\u200c controlled substances\u200b in the state.
