The plaintiff, an immigrant from\u2062 Soviet \u2062Russia, expressed concerns about free speech limitations\u2063 in America, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/byron-donalds-wants-gop-to-follow-trumps-lead-on-ivf-but-south-carolina-voters-arent-so-sure\/\" title=\"Byron Donalds urges GOP to emulate Trump on IVF, but SC voters skeptical\">citing personal experiences<\/a> with censorship, including social media restrictions for\u2062 posting \u2062intelligence-based articles.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><\/p>\n<div class=\"article-content\">\n<p>On May 8, the Biden administration\u2019s effort seeking the dismissal of a lawsuit by Texas and two media outlets, The Daily Wire and The Federalist, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.courthousenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/dailywire-v-state-department.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">accusing<\/a> the U.S. Department of State of enabling, technologically, the censorship of conservative voices failed. U.S. District Judge Jeremy Kernodle in Tyler, Texas, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/legal\/government\/texas-lawsuit-claiming-us-helped-censor-conservative-news-can-proceed-2024-05-08\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ruled<\/a> that the State Department did indeed engage in efforts to \u201cmarket and promote the censorship tools and technologies to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-new-acting-attorney-general-jeff-rosen-recently-wrote-an-essay-on-foreign-influence-in-us-elections-this-tells-us-a-little-about-his-knowledge-of-whats-going-on-today\/\" title=\"The New Acting Attorney General Jeff Rosen Recently Wrote an Essay on Foreign Influence in US Elections \u2013 This Tells Us A Little About His Knowledge of What\u2019s Going On Today\">social media platforms<\/a>,\u201d citing allegations that the federal agency encouraged social media companies to \u201cde-platform&#8217;\u201d the two news outlets.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s bad enough that the two conservative outlets were potentially being censored by a federal agency in a country where freedom of speech is supposedly guaranteed by the Constitution. It\u2019s even worse that the government tried to silence the victims, preventing them from speaking out and seeking justice. <\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2-long d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-115792053\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1379703300879-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-9624f9b716621bf0f03b576f55ad82be fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-9624f9b716621bf0f03b576f55ad82be\"><\/div>\n<p>As an immigrant who fled Soviet Russia, I\u2019m gravely concerned about the emergence of the unfreedom of speech in America, my adopted homeland. Team Biden\u2019s Sovietesque tactics made me reflect on my own experience with censorship in America.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, my Facebook account was restricted after I posted an article I authored that was published by Fox News. Titled \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/opinion\/ignore-fbi-director-urgent-warning-terrorist-threats-our-own-peril\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ignore FBI director\u2019s urgent warning about terrorist threats at our own peril<\/a>,\u201d I forecasted threats the U.S. homeland will likely face in 2024 based on my experience as an intelligence analyst.<\/p>\n<p>Facebook\u2019s justification for restricting my account was my alleged \u201cviolation of Community Standards,\u201d claiming the content shared \u201cwent against our rules on dangerous individuals and organizations.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou could lose your page forever,\u201d read the warning, \u201cif you get a few more Community Standards violations.\u201d <\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-a15badb717a15f7da3c7336d15078dc8 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-a15badb717a15f7da3c7336d15078dc8\"><\/div>\n<p>My analysis was based on the 2024 Worldwide Threat Assessment issued by the Intelligence Community. It echoed the recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fbi.gov\/news\/speeches\/director-wrays-opening-statement-to-the-house-appropriations-committee-041124\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">warning by FBI Director Christopher Wray<\/a> about \u201cthe potential for a coordinated attack here in the homeland.\u201d In his recent congressional testimonies, Wray repeatedly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2024-03-12\/terrorist-threat-to-us-at-whole-other-level-fbi-s-wray-warns?embedded-checkout=true\">stressed the FBI\u2019s concerns<\/a> about terrorist threats having reached a \u201cwhole other level\u201d from the already heightened situation. He <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Politics\/fbi-director-warns-dangerous-individuals-coming-southern-border\/story?id=108024830\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">warned<\/a> about \u201cdangerous individuals\u201d coming across the southern border and the possibility of an attack \u201cakin to the ISIS-K attack\u201d in Russia at a concert.<\/p>\n<p>Such policies are absurd and also dangerous. Would Facebook rather keep Americans blissfully unaware and unprepared for the threats we face?<\/p>\n<p>This is not the first time I\u2019ve been censored. In 2021, my former employer, the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) redacted 31 pages of typescript in my book, <em>Putin\u2019s Playbook: Russia\u2019s Secret Plan to Defeat America.<\/em> In it, I predicted Russia\u2019s invasion of Ukraine, criticized intelligence agencies\u2019 lack of proper expertise on Russia and Putin, and revealed Putin\u2019s goal to destabilize America. I also disclosed that DIA was purging honest Russia analysts from its ranks in the run-up to the 2016 election, as President Obama\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/u-s-intelligence-officials-say-putins-nuclear-threat-should-be-taken-seriously\/\" title=\"U.S. Intelligence Officials Say Putin's Nuclear Threat Should Be Taken Seriously\">top intelligence officials<\/a> were concocting the nonexistent \u201cRussia-Trump collusion.\u201d  <\/p>\n<p>So DIA and CIA weaponized the pre-publication review process against me. The process is mandatory for every intelligence officer to comply with to publish a book. <\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-eaba6d68152708ff3e35f35f410e665f fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-eaba6d68152708ff3e35f35f410e665f\"><\/div>\n<p>Much like its Russian counterpart, the U.S. government, assisted by Big Tech, is now involved in shaping the American people\u2019s perception of reality. Recall the 51 ex-intelligence officials <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2020\/10\/19\/hunter-biden-story-russian-disinfo-430276\">claiming<\/a> that the Hunter Biden laptop story was Russian disinformation? Or the spy agencies withholding vital information about Covid origins from the public, according to an <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligence.house.gov\/uploadedfiles\/final_unclass_summary_-_covid_origins_report_-_dec._2022.pdf\">oversight investigation<\/a> led by Rep. Brad Wenstrup.<\/p>\n<p>Big Tech was outright suppressing valid information on the Covid vaccine and <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/02\/24\/the-covid-cartel-lied-people-died-now-they-say-its-all-your-fault\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">silencing prominent epidemiologists<\/a>, such as Dr. Robert Malone, Dr. Marty Makary, Dr. Peter McCullough, Dr. Scott Atlas, and Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, whose expert opinions on Covid, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bidens-economy-inflation-hits-highest-levels-since-great-recession-soars-past-economists-expectations\/\" title=\"BREAKING: Under Biden Inflation Has Hit Record Levels Since Great Recession\">government-mandated lockdowns<\/a>, and the vaccine ran counter to the party line. <\/p>\n<p>Bhattacharya, a professor of medicine at Stanford University, for example, had tweeted an article he wrote on natural immunity, but that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/house-gop-rips-former-twitter-exec-censoring-vaccine-data-doctors-cdc-not-just-about-laptop\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tweet was marked as a \u201ctrends blacklist.\u201d<\/a>  Some of these brave doctors who went to the best medical schools in America were threatened with the revocation of medical licenses. The censorship apparatchiks, such as Twitter\u2019s former chief legal officer, Vijaya Gadde, never went to medical school.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s how journalist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/video\/2024\/04\/05\/matt_taibbi_people_need_to_know_about_the_mass_censorship_regime_growing_in_the_us.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Matt Taibbi describes<\/a> what he found in \u201cThe Twitter Files\u201d:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>We did find within days a whole galaxy of things that said, \u201cFlagged by FBI,\u201d \u201cFlagged by DHS,\u201d \u201cFlagged by HHS,\u201d \u201cFlagged By Treasury.\u201d We realized there was this huge operation that spanned the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/a-football-analogy-to-explain-democrats-election-cheating\/\" title=\"A Football Analogy to Explain Democrats' Election Cheating\">entire federal government<\/a> to pressure not just Twitter, but two dozen at least internet companies to suppress different kinds of information.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The erosion of free speech in America is giving me flashbacks to Soviet Russia. There we were afraid to speak the truth. It was a matter of survivability. Facing the risk of being expelled from school, losing your job, or even being jailed, you begin to self-censor. Self-censorship is the highest form of censorship. It means the government has total control over you. You are no longer an individual but a subject of the state.<\/p>\n<p>Today, many conservatives feel too uncomfortable to openly share their views for fear of being canceled, shadow-banned, or rejected from \u201cpolite society.\u201d There\u2019s an emergence of wrongthink and views that don\u2019t align with those of the government and the elites. Back in Russia, there was \u201ccorrect\u201d and \u201cincorrect\u201d thinking. <\/p>\n<p>Speech control leads to groupthink and eventually results in thought control. Thought control is an attribute of a totalitarian society. And when your thinking isn\u2019t free, you cannot arrive at the truth. Once the truth becomes unattainable, the society\u2019s survivability is at risk.
