A warm \u200ccall between them, described as\u2062 &#8220;warm and gracious,&#8221; in the presence\u2063 of GOP donors\u200d signals a possible mending of ties as they\u2062 strategize to boost\u2063 fundraising efforts to\u2064 rival President Joe Biden.\u2063 Discussions\u200b included shared interests like golf, \u2062hinting at a potential reconciliation.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Former President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Donald Trump<\/a> and Gov. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/ron-desantis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Ron DeSantis<\/a> (R-FL) sparred in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/republican\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Republican<\/a> presidential primary before the Florida politician suspended his campaign.<\/p>\n<p>It appeared unlikely that their relationship could recover from their primary squabbles, but the two recently <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/trump-desantis-presidential-campaign-rivalry-fundraising-republicans-d782508e303cd87ff853cac8b999c477\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>shared<\/a> a call described as \u201cwarm and gracious\u201d in front of GOP donors as the party attempts to catch up to President Joe Biden in fundraising.<\/p>\n<p>Trump reportedly said, \u201cRon, I love that you\u2019re back,\u201d on the call as DeSantis gathered with allies in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The pair spoke about one of Trump\u2019s favorite hobbies, golf, as well.<\/p>\n<p>The report is one of the first major signs that the pair are headed for a reconciliation, at least in appearance. It may not be coincidental that it was in front of donors, as Trump trails Biden\u2019s campaign war chest significantly.<\/p>\n<p>Trump outraised Biden by $76 million to $51 million in April, the first time in recent months that Biden couldn\u2019t rake in more money than his Republican opponent. A recovered Trump-DeSantis relationship could also help the former president\u2019s image among Florida voters who reelected DeSantis as governor in 2022 by nearly 20 points.<\/p>\n<p>Some DeSantis donors had reportedly been reluctant to give money to Trump because they worried their money would help pay Trump\u2019s lawyers in his criminal cases instead of being used directly to focus on beating Biden.<\/p>\n<p>DeSantis had been raising money with his top donors for Super PAC Right for America, which is backed by big Republican donors, some of whom would rather donate to DeSantis than Trump.<\/p>\n<p>The appearance of the recovered relationship could also appeal to a small section of voters, around 13%, who <a href=\"https:\/\/projects.fivethirtyeight.com\/polls\/president-primary-r\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>preferred<\/a> DeSantis in a poll taken at the beginning of April.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title><strong>CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Florida, once a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/arizona-democrat-plans-to-get-abortion-as-reproductive-care-comes-front-and-center-in-swing-state\/\" title=\"Arizona Democrat aims for abortion access amidst reproductive rights debate in pivotal state\">decisive swing state<\/a>, has continued to lean right this election cycle, with Trump claiming the state in 2016 and 2020. The <em>Cook Political Report<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cookpolitical.com\/ratings\/presidential-race-ratings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>rates<\/a> the state \u201cLikely Republican\u201d in the general election.<\/p>\n<p>In another show of GOP support, former U.N.
