However, the Democratic National Convention is not even scheduled to start until 12 days after the deadline.<\/p>\n<p>In past years, state lawmakers have passed legislative fixes that waive the deadline when a convention and Ohio\u2019s deadline do not align.<\/p>\n<p>Not this year.<\/p>\n<p>Ohio House Speaker Jason Stephens has said there is not enough interest on the part of Ohio Republicans in fixing the problem for action to be taken, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/bidens-ballot-issues-ohio-arent-going-away-state-democrats-receive-another-urgent-warning\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s just not the will to do that from the legislature,\u201d Stephens said.<\/p>\n<p>With that as the backdrop, Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose on Tuesday wrote the chairwoman of the Ohio Democratic Party, wondering how they plan to deal with the problem.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Are you voting for Trump?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The letter, attached to a <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/FrankLaRose\/status\/1793018621251265002?%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1793018621251265002%7Ctwgr%5E292476bcdf72ce883cccdbdfb50ba4ff85b74645%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&#038;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.wlwt.com%2Farticle%2Ffrank-larose-ohio-secretary-state-president-biden-ballot%2F60862768\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">post on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-new-acting-attorney-general-jeff-rosen-recently-wrote-an-essay-on-foreign-influence-in-us-elections-this-tells-us-a-little-about-his-knowledge-of-whats-going-on-today\/\" title=\"The New Acting Attorney General Jeff Rosen Recently Wrote an Essay on Foreign Influence in US Elections \u2013 This Tells Us A Little About His Knowledge of What\u2019s Going On Today\">social media platform<\/a> X<\/a>, noted that LaRose asked in April for some hint of what the Democratic Party might be planning, without getting a response.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">I\u2019ve said from here to Colorado that it\u2019s in the best interest of voters to have a choice in the race for president. It\u2019s due to a conflict in the law created by the party, and the party has so far offered no legally acceptable remedy,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Ohio House speaker said today there won\u2019t be a legislative solution, so I\u2019ve sent a letter to @OHDems chair seeking (again) a solution that upholds the law and respects the voters. I trust they\u2019ll act quickly,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Absent a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/email-shows-bucks-county-school-closures-werent-just-bad-for-kids-they-were-illegal\/\" title=\"Email Shows Bucks County School Closures Weren\u2019t Just Bad For Kids, They Were Illegal\">legislative waiver<\/a>, the options would be for Democrats to either sue to force Biden onto the ballot or find a way to officially nominate Biden before the convention to satisfy Ohio\u2019s requirement before the state deadline.<\/p>\n<p>Although WLWT did not have any comments from Democrats in its report, it wrote, \u201cEither way, Ohio Democrats said the president will be on the November ballot.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Republican Ohio Gov.
