Emmanuel<\/span><\/a> <\/span> <span>   May 23, 2024 at 5:46am <\/span> <\/span>  <\/header>\n<section>\n<p>Bill Maher, the host of HBO\u2019s \u201cReal Time With Bill Maher,\u201d has been making the rounds to promote his new book, and to his credit, he\u2019s been on shows most liberals won\u2019t touch with a barge pole.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, perhaps for the first time in a long time, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/liberal-radio-host-bill-maher-blasts-cancel-culture-amid-teen-vogue-ousting\/\" title=\"Liberal radio host Bill Maher blasts cancel culture amid Teen Vogue ousting\">liberal talk show host<\/a> is learning that the way he sees the world might not be as accurate as he believes.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, Maher appeared on \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/fox-news-makes-major-gutfeld-announcement-worst-possible-news-fallon-colbert-kimmel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gutfeld<\/a>,\u201d where he sparred with Fox News host Greg Gutfeld after claiming former President Donald Trump would not accept the results of the 2024 election should he lose, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/bill-maher-gutfeld-clash-trump-fox-news\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Maher appeared on \u201cThe Megyn Kelly Show\u201d on Tuesday, where he attempted again to spout left-wing propaganda, but Kelly wasn\u2019t about to let him get away with it.<\/p>\n<p>Maher and Kelly locked horns over the issue of whether former presidential candidates have accepted or denied election results.<\/p>\n<p>The discussion began with the HBO host saying Trump did not accept the results of the 2020 election. Kelly countered by reminding Maher that Democrat Hillary Clinton had also refused to accept her 2016 loss.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/hillary-clinton-produced-broadway-musical-bombs-spectacularly-now-sitting-bottom-23-audience-draw\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hillary Clinton,<\/a> of course, is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/nbc-surprisingly-publishes-article-calling-out-dem-election-denialism\/\" title=\"NBC Surprisingly Publishes Article Calling Out Dem Election Denialism\">original election denier<\/a>. I\u2019m sure you voted for her in \u201916,\u201d Kelly said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, she\u2019s not an election denier,\u201d\u00a0Maher responded.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe absolutely was the OG election denier,\u201d Kelly said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe \u2014 first of all, she came out before the sun had risen to concede the election to Trump,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd then spent the next four years saying he was illegitimate, he was an illegitimate president,\u201d Kelly interjected, refusing to back down.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOK, well, first of all, saying \u2014 she didn\u2019t say he was an illegitimate,\u201d Maher responded, \u201cYou tell me exactly what she said,\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe said those exact words repeatedly,\u201d\u00a0Kelly shot back.<\/p>\n<p>He then re-iterated that Clinton gave a concession speech and Trump did not.<\/p>\n<p> <iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/d73bft1w5e8?si=fOh_uXqhK6vGcizI&#038;start=421\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In another contentious back-and-forth, Kelly challenged Maher on his description of the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol incursion.<\/p>\n<p>When Maher suggested that Trump would \u201cshow up at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/bidens-latest-senior-moment-bad-white-house-doctor-transcript-multiple-times\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">White House<\/a> whether he\u2019s invited or not\u201d if he lost the election, Kelly challenged him on it, saying, \u201cOh stop it, he\u2019s not going to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLike there was never an attack on the Capitol,\u201d the HBO host responded. \u201cThat never happened. Like they didn\u2019t show up at the Capitol and break windows and knock down doors and kill cops\u00a0\u2013\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey didn\u2019t do that,\u201d\u00a0Kelly cut in.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey didn\u2019t break windows, knock down doors?\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey didn\u2019t kill cops,\u201d she responded.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey of course did,\u201d Maher replied, raising his voice.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo, they didn\u2019t,\u201d Kelly said calmly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWho did?\u201d he asked. \u201cThey died of natural causes that day?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeah, nobody died that day,\u201d\u00a0Kelly responded.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCops,\u201d Maher said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo,\u201d\u00a0Kelly replied. \u201cNot true.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOK,\u201d Maher said, laughing incredulously.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWho?\u201d she asked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t remember the names,\u201d he responded.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey didn\u2019t,\u201d Kelly said confidently. \u201cThere was Brian Sicknick who died later after the fact.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote data-media-max-width=\"560\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Megyn Kelly calls out Bill Maher\u2019s lie that cops died on January 6th:<br \/> BM: \u201cLike they didn\u2019t show up to the Capitol and kill cops.\u201d<br \/> MK: \u201cThey didn\u2019t do that. You\u2019re in news?\u201d Maher asked, as if Trump\u2019s lawsuit against him 11 years ago were of vital national importance.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-media-max-width=\"560\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Bill Maher roasted Fox News\u2019 Greg Gutfeld for being unaware that Trump once sued the comedian for comparing him to an orangutan. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/xC1oxj6Va8\">https:\/\/t.co\/xC1oxj6Va8<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/GMddTCXJcW\">pic.twitter.com\/GMddTCXJcW<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Mediaite (@Mediaite) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Mediaite\/status\/1792979218080350582?\">May 21, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>What is of national importance are the lies\u00a0being accepted\u00a0as truth about the\u00a0Jan. 6\u00a0incursion.<\/p>\n<p>Kelly was right, of course. Clinton did repeatedly call Trump an illegitimate president, and the only person who was killed on Jan. 6 was an unarmed protester named <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/federal-govt-sued-30m-wrongful-death-jan-6-protester-ashli-babbitt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ashli Babbit<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/fact-check-capitol-cop-jan-6-hearing-lies-death-officer-brian-sicknick\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brian Sicknick<\/a>, the officer used as a cudgel against the Jan. 6 protesters, died on Jan 7, 2021. While it was initially reported that Sicknick succumbed to injuries caused by the protesters, a subsequent autopsy confirmed that Sicknick died of two strokes caused by natural causes, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/brian-sicknick-capitol-riot-died-natural-causes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ABC News<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/local\/public-safety\/brian-sicknick-death-strokes\/2021\/04\/19\/36d2d310-617e-11eb-afbe-9a11a127d146_story.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Washington Post<\/a>, D.C.\u2019s chief medical examiner, Francisco J. Diaz, said that \u201cthe autopsy found no evidence of internal or external injuries, or of an allergic reaction to the chemical substance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The autopsy also specified, \u201cIf death is hastened by an injury, the manner of death is not considered natural.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Apparently,\u00a0Maher\u00a0didn\u2019t\u00a0get the memo.<\/p>\n<p>Not only that, but he evidently thought there were cops, plural, killed on Jan. 6. (Two other police officers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/01\/05\/us\/politics\/jan-6-capitol-deaths.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">died by suicide<\/a> afterward.)<\/p>\n<p>The exchange reveals how deeply partisan messaging has distorted public understanding of the Capitol incursion, even among prominent media figures.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Are you voting for Trump?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>By repeating a lie so many times, they have begun to create their own narrative.<\/p>\n<p>Kelly\u2019s\u00a0commitment to factual accuracy serves as an example of how such insidious falsehoods must be\u00a0directly\u00a0confronted and refuted.<\/p>\n<p>Her calm yet firm rebuttals using verified information demonstrated the proper approach to counter disinformation that has taken root through the Democrats\u2019 echo chamber.<\/p>\n<p>As for Maher, his smug insistence on a completely false version of events, even when presented with facts, suggests he may need to rethink his overconfidence in his knowledge of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/senate-democrats-discharge-biden-fed-nominee-with-history-of-black-lives-matter-bullying\/\" title=\"Senate Democrats Discharge Biden Fed Nominee with History of Black Lives Matter Bullying\">complex political issues<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<div>\n<p><b><i>A Note from Our Deputy Managing Editor:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span>\u201cWe don\u2019t even know if an election will be held in 2024.\u201d Those 12 words have been stuck in my head since I first read them. <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>Former Lt.
