Sheindlin\u2064 asserts that DAs failing to\u2064 protect communities should seek\u2062 other professions, highlighting the detrimental impact of lenient approaches \u200bon <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/california-sheriffs-tell-newsom-they-wont-enforce-covid-curfew\/\" title=\"California Sheriffs Tell Newsom They Won't Enforce COVID Curfew\">law-abiding citizens<\/a> \u2062and the urgency for a smarter strategy.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<header> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/commentary\/\">  Commentary <\/a>   <span> <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/aanton\/\">  <\/a> <\/p>\n<p> <span>   By <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/aanton\/%20\"><span>Allison Anton<\/span><\/a> <\/span> <span>   May 22, 2024 at 3:21pm <\/span> <\/span>  <\/header>\n<section>\n<p>While most people recognize Judge Judy Sheindlin from her iconic reality show \u201cJudge Judy,\u201d few remember that Sheindlin served as an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/can-magistrate-judges-constitutionally-issue-search-warrants-against-trump-or-anyone-else\/\" title=\"Can Magistrate Judges Constitutionally Issue Search Warrants Against Trump (Or Anyone Else)?\">actual judge<\/a> in New York for 14 years before she was ever tapped for the show.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, Sheindlin has the background and experience with which to pass her own judgement on the deplorable state of crime in many of the country\u2019s blue cities.<\/p>\n<p>And, with the original \u201cJudge Judy\u201d still smashing viewership records even after wrapping things up after 25 years, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2024\/tv\/news\/judge-judy-hot-bench-cbs-media-ventures-renew-1235983675\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Variety<\/a>, Sheindlin is still a voice to be heeded in the entertainment world, as her recent interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/judge-judy-has-scathing-message-cities-engulfed-brazen-crime-pinpoints-ridiculous-policies\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox News<\/a> showed.<\/p>\n<p>In that interview, she combined both her cultural and legal clout to issue a scathing judgement on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-taps-u-s-attorney-opposed-to-prosecution-of-drug-dealers-and-thieves\/\" title=\"Biden Taps U.S. Attorney Opposed to Prosecution of Drug Dealers and Thieves\">liberal district attorneys<\/a> who have allowed cities like New York and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/scary-george-soros-set-take-control-220-radio-stations-ahead-2024-election\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">San Fransisco<\/a> to devolve into crime-ridden cesspits.<\/p>\n<p>Now, for those who have been paying attention, the extent to which crime has exploded in liberal cities has been nothing short of appalling.<\/p>\n<p>As Fox News reported in their story on the exclusive interview, actor Steve Buscemi was recently attacked on the streets of New York City in broad daylight, and crime in the New York Subway has increased 7 percent from 2023 to 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailysignal.com\/2024\/01\/26\/crime-rates-continue-explode-blue-cities-despite-medias-narrative-contrary\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Daily Signal<\/a> noted, since 2021, the homicide rate in Los Angeles has risen from roughly 637 per year to 768 per year, with other blue cities like Chicago and Philadelphia reporting similar statistics.<\/p>\n<p>Though the mainstream media has spent their time either deflecting from these unfortunate facts, or pretending they didn\u2019t know the answer, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/judge-judy-files-defamation-suit-makes-clear-things-wont-cheap-going-cost\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sheindlin<\/a> had no problem unearthing the reason.<\/p>\n<p>According to Sheindlin, \u201cOh I know how we got here. We got here because a small group of people who have very loud voices created a scenario where bad people got rewarded. And the victim got punished by the system.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She then continued, \u201cThere is always a reason for criminal behavior \u2014 didn\u2019t have a good upbringing, didn\u2019t have two parents in the house, didn\u2019t have one parent in the house. There\u2019s always a reason. You\u2019re mentally ill. That\u2019s a reason. You took drugs, that\u2019s a reason. You took alcohol, your brain is fried \u2026 Whatever it is.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And she was absolutely right.<\/p>\n<p>It has always been the government\u2019s job to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/watch-florida-police-have-zero-tolerance-for-anti-israel-activists-blocking-streets\/\" title=\"VIDEO: Florida Police Clamping Down on Anti-Israel Activists Blocking Roads\">protect law abiding citizens<\/a> by restraining and punishing criminal behavior, whatever the reason might be.<\/p>\n<p>Many of these criminals from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/americans-go-scorched-earth-psaki-laughing-concerned-soft-crime-policy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">unfortunate backgrounds<\/a> perhaps deserve pity, but that pity should not allow them to walk the streets and hurt other people, simple because they had a hard life.<\/p>\n<p>But, Sheindlin had more to say.<\/p>\n<p>Referring to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/soros-funded-district-attorney-gets-hostile-reception-fallen-police-officers-funeral-leaves-early-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">George Soros-funded DAs<\/a> who have turned America\u2019s blue cities into crime-ridden hellholes, Sheindlin said, \u201cWhen you have district attorneys who are charged, whose job it is to do justice, but to keep the community safe \u2026 When you have elected district attorneys who don\u2019t know what their job is, they should go find another job.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFill ice cream cones someplace,\u201d she charged them, barely able to contain her disgust. \u201cBut don\u2019t ruin cities. And what\u2019s happened around New York City, Portland, San Francisco, you had district attorneys who didn\u2019t know what their job was. And the cities are ruined. People are leaving.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sheindlin then ended her diagnosis with a warning, saying, \u201cI think we better get smarter before we get lost. Permanently lost.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While Sheindlin never called out any particular DA by name, it was abundantly clear she was referring to the Alvin Braggs and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ap-new-charges-jussie-smollett-put-kim-foxxs-career-jeopardy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kim Foxxs<\/a>, who have preferred to exercise excessive pity for the criminals, instead of carrying out their duty to the law-abiding citizens of their communities.<\/p>\n<p>When the government begins offering excuses for criminal behavior, and then prosecuting on the basis of those excuses, it has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/another-dem-win-crime-man-arrested-savage-street-attack-woman-arrested-twice-attacking-cop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">devastating consequences<\/a> for the rule of law, and the ordinary citizens are the ones that suffer the most.<\/p>\n<p>Not to mention society as a whole.<\/p>\n<p>And, having a background arbitrating family court cases, Sheindlin knew better than anyone how detrimental the left\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/crime-ravages-ca-police-dept-uses-lego-heads-keep-mug-shots-private\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">soft-on-crime<\/a> policies have been for law and order in this country.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunate backgrounds have never been the sole determinator of one\u2019s fate; if you had a terrible upbringing, that doesn\u2019t suddenly absolve you of all responsibility if you rob a convenience store or attack someone on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/nypd-hunting-suspect-3-brutal-subway-attacks-17-minute-span\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">subway<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Ever since leftist DAs have started prosecuting criminals as if they had no control over their actions rather than responsible moral agents, it has been the law-abiding citizens who have been left to suffer the consequences.<\/p>\n<p>And, thankfully, Sheindlin is one of the few pop culture figures with the wisdom and courage to point that out.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<div>\n<p><b><i>An Important Message from Our Staff:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span>We who work here at The Western Journal have fought for years against Big Tech and the elites who want to shut us down and then shut America down. <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>Make no mistake \u2014 nothing will be the same after November 2024.
