Mitt Romney claimed it was \u201cdisorientating\u201d seeing Republicans prioritize the issues of America over foreign country\u2019s plights.<\/p>\n<p>The Republican has seen many different faces of the party across his positions as the Massachusetts governor from 2003 to 2007 and as a current senator of Utah.<\/p>\n<p>During this tenured career, it\u2019s clear that Romney has adopted the mindset that many other high-ups at the capitol have: Don\u2019t rock the boat.<\/p>\n<p>It doesn\u2019t matter that he has already announced he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/breaking-mitt-romney-will-not-seeking-re-election-us-senate-seat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">won\u2019t be running for re-election<\/a>, he still stands with the uni-party in Washington D.C.<\/p>\n<p>But while perhaps the Utah senator and his fellow established elite believe this, it\u2019s not the mindset of many Americans, especially those within the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/dozens-democrats-turn-biden-side-republicans-key-vote-send-message\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Republican<\/a> Party.<\/p>\n<p>When the United States is sending billions of dollars to Ukraine and wearing pins of a foreign flag in Congress while Americans are left to suffer, things need to change.<\/p>\n<p>But while change is needed that doesn\u2019t mean Romney and his fellow uni-party members are going to want it.<\/p>\n<p>Ruhle asked an extremely loaded question to the senator: \u201cThere now are people in your party who are now expressing views that would have been unthinkable a few years ago, when you think about support for Ukraine, even the idea that people somehow have similar views of the likes of Vladimir Putin. What is your take on that? Where did it come from?\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Are you glad Mitt Romney is not seeking re-election?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Romney proceeded to give the most out-of-touch and disrespectful possible answer.<\/p>\n<p>Rather than reprimanding Ruhle for her biased and unreasonable claims, he replied, \u201cYeah, it\u2019s disorientating. To someone like me, it\u2019s unimaginable that in the party of Ronald Reagan and George Herbert Walker Bush and George W. Bush and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ap-john-mccains-surviving-family-gets-tragic-news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">John McCain<\/a> and others that we would see a growing isolationism within our party.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think it flows in part from talk TV, talk radio, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-aaron-rodgers-tells-tucker-carlson-nfl-forced-players-get-vaccinated-follow-money\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tucker Carlson<\/a> of the world that say outrageous things, and the base says, \u2018Yeah, exactly,&#8217;\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMany in our party have followed that populist streak which is, \u2018Hey! Stop worrying about the rest of the world. Just worry about what\u2019s going on here.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He then claimed that because the United States is involved with the rest of the world it has to partake in foreign affairs \u2014 otherwise, \u201cGermany would have ended up ruling the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re involved in the world out of our own self-interest,\u201d Romney claimed.<\/p>\n<p>As if the Utah senator hadn\u2019t shown his colors enough, he said, \u201cI laugh at the phrase \u2018America First&#8217;\u201d because \u201cAmerica is putting ourselves first when we\u2019re involved in the world, when we stop bad people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>From that sentence alone it\u2019s blatantly clear that Romney has absolutely no idea what the phrase \u201cAmerica First\u201d means.<\/p>\n<p>The full interview can be seen below:<\/p>\n<p> <iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/5tg9jRkAOcs?si=1yAQuQkbxwtQ9r4d\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s break it down nice and simple, so everyone can understand it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAmerican First\u201d means <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/border-patrol-agent-reportedly-warns-america-cartel-overruns-border-no-one-coming-protect\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">securing the border<\/a> and ensuring our citizens are safe.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAmerican First\u201d means preventing Democrats from ruining the economy with terrible economic policy and rampant <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-fox-news-host-confronts-wh-official-biden-lying-inflation-rate-trump-left\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">inflation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAmerican First\u201d means helping Americans before helping foreign nations, something <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/east-palestine-resident-says-town-isnt-fooled-bidens-visit-announcement-know\/\">East Palestine<\/a>, Ohio, still hasn\u2019t gotten over a year after a train derailment ruined their city.<\/p>\n<p>What does it matter if all of America\u2019s allies are flourishing if it\u2019s at the expense of its own citizens?<\/p>\n<p>Romney said that the only world where the United States is \u201csafe or prosperous\u201d is one that \u201cfollows the order that has existed over the last 75 years,\u201d but are Americans safe or prosperous?<\/p>\n<p>Sen. Romney, do you consider millions of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/president-trump-biden-is-destroying-the-country-and-putting-americans-in-danger\/\" title=\"President Trump: Biden is destroying the country and putting Americans in danger\">illegal immigrants pouring<\/a> over our border, very likely committing other illegal acts during it, safe or prosperous?<\/p>\n<p>Sen. Romney, do you consider skyrocketing home prices and inflated essentials safe or prosperous?<\/p>\n<p>Sen. Romney, do you consider liberal district attorneys letting violent criminals get <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/3-police-officers-shot-fatal-ambush-one-teen-suspect-released-without-bond-last-month\/\">off scot-free<\/a> safe or prosperous?<\/p>\n<p>Mitt Romney and his fellow established politicians who rally behind the status quo are not interested in the slightest about Americans and their prosperity.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, they\u2019re intent on maintaining what has made them successful \u2014 no matter how many of the people they\u2019re meant to serve suffer.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<div>\n<p><b><i>A Note from Our Deputy Managing Editor:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span>I heard a chilling comment the other day: \u201cWe don\u2019t even know if an election will be held in 2024.\u201d <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>That wasn\u2019t said by a conspiracy theorist or a doomsday prophet.
