Willis&#8217; victory follows controversies and legal \u2063challenges in her high-profile prosecution efforts.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p>Just two months after being <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/judge-rules-that-fani-willis-or-nathan-wade-has-to-leave-the-georgia-trump-case\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">scrutinized<\/a> for allegedly showing favoritism to special prosecutor Nathan Wade, Fulton County, Georgia, District Attorney Fani Willis cruised to a blowout victory in the Democratic primary election Tuesday night.<\/p>\n<p>Willis, who is leading the charge in the prosecution of former President Donald Trump in the Georgia election interference case, defeated her Democratic opponent Christian Wise Smith, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/2024\/05\/21\/us\/elections\/results-georgia-district-attorney-primary.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">taking 87%<\/a> of the nearly 90,000 votes in the heavily Democratic county. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/radical-cultural-change-coming-to-america\/\" title=\"Radical Cultural Change Coming to America?\">district attorney<\/a> will now face Republican nominee and pro-Trump candidate Courtney Kramer in the November general election.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople want a DA that \u2026 treats everybody equally and that works hard, and they know that they have that in me,\u201d Willis told reporters following her primary victory, the Associated Press <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/fani-willis-scott-mcafee-trump-georgia-indictment-6e55b3a7eafd66c6ae3dae3a50d3187a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The incumbent\u2019s massive victory came after she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/fani-willis-misses-da-debate-gets-replaced-by-empty-podium\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">skipped<\/a> a debate against Wise Smith last month, leaving her opponent to debate with an empty podium. Three of those charges against the former president were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/6-charges-brought-by-fani-willis-against-trump-allies-dismissed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dismissed<\/a> by Judge Scott McAfee earlier this year in what was one of multiple setbacks for Willis in her pursuit of a Trump conviction.<\/p>\n<p>More trouble arose for Willis when she faced possible disqualification from her case against Trump after defense lawyers alleged that the Democratic district attorney misused taxpayer dollars and showed favoritism to her former lover, Wade. In his ruling on whether Willis could continue prosecuting Trump, Judge McAfee said the district attorney acted with a \u201ctremendous lapse in judgment,\u201d adding that he found an appearance of \u201cimpropriety,\u201d but said the defendants had \u201cfailed to meet their burden\u201d of proving a conflict of interest based on Willis and Wade\u2019s relationship.<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after the judge\u2019s ruling, Wade resigned from the case, saying, \u201cI am offering my resignation in the interest of democracy, in dedication to the American public, and move this case forward as quickly as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wade surprised some guests with his presence at Willis\u2019 victory party on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-describedby=\"sk-tooltip-9096\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp&#038;source=gmail&#038;ust=1700760801843000&#038;usg=AOvVaw2PQrVSrJfhxNb4LcARqniG\">CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell consider me shook.
