He highlighted\u2064 the administration&#8217;s approach as weakening allies and empowering adversaries, referencing conflicts in Europe and the Middle East.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p>Sen. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/ted-cruz\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ted Cruz<\/a> (R-TX) slammed Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Tuesday during a heated Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing over the Biden administration\u2019s foreign policy failures.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou have presided over the worst foreign policy disaster of modern times,\u201d Cruz began in his grilling of Blinken. \u201cWhen Joe Biden became president, he inherited peace and prosperity in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/donald-trump-ends-negotiations-with-nancy-pelosi-on-coronavirus-relief\/\" title=\"Donald Trump Ends Negotiations with Nancy Pelosi on Coronavirus Relief\">world<\/a>. We now have two simultaneous wars waging\u2014the worst war in Europe since World War II and the worst war in the Middle East in 50 years. Both, I believe, were caused by this administration\u2019s consistent weakness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cruz said that the administration\u2019s foreign policy was \u201cprecisely backwards from what a rational American foreign policy should be,\u201d including attacking and weakening U.S. allies while emboldening and strengthening U.S. adversaries.<\/p>\n<p>Cruz hit Blinken over a report from The Washington Post earlier this month that said the administration was \u201cworking urgently to stave off a full-scale Israeli invasion of Rafah\u201d by \u201coffering Israel valuable assistance in an effort to persuade it to hold back, including sensitive intelligence to help the Israeli military pinpoint the location of Hamas leaders and find the group\u2019s hidden tunnels.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Blinken claimed that the report was completely false and the administration has not withheld that type of information from the Israelis.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[Israel is] quite aware you disagree with their plan to kill the Hamas terrorists because you and the president have vocally said it,\u201d Cruz said. \u201cTo be clear, your State Department, on the morning of October 7th, sent out a tweet telling Israel not to engage in military retaliation. I called you out at three in the morning, and you deleted that tweet. The next day, you personally, on October 8, sent a tweet saying you\u2019d spoken with the Turkish foreign minister and Israel should not retaliate.
