But now it is offering free McNuggets as a way to entice customers to return \u2014 and here is how you can claim yours.<\/p>\n<p>The chain is giving away a six-piece serving of its Chicken McNuggets, but only for one day and under one condition, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/mcdonalds-free-chicken-mcnuggets-inflation-1902989\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Newsweek<\/a> reported Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Customers looking to pick up the free McNuggets and a dipping sauce must order them through the McDonald\u2019s app on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/in-nevada-a-corrupt-cash-for-votes-scheme-is-hiding-in-plain-sight\/\" title=\"In Nevada, A Corrupt Cash-For-Votes Scheme Is Hiding In Plain Sight\">free food<\/a> is also available only at participating locations in the U.S. Many McDonald\u2019s restaurants are operated by franchise owners, and some might choose not to participate in the offering.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe heard our fans loud and clear: great value is what you want, and this summer, that\u2019s exactly what you\u2019ll get at McDonald\u2019s,\u201d a company representative told Newsweek.<\/p>\n<p>More promotional deals are coming over the next few months.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is just the first of the many deals McDonald\u2019s has in store for fans this summer season \u2014 stay tuned for more special offers on top of McDonald\u2019s everyday affordable prices,\u201d the McDonald\u2019s representative said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd as always, you can stay in the loop on exclusive local deals in your area with the app.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/burger-king-tries-to-troll-chick-fil-a-by-donating-to-lgbt-activist-org-even-on-sundays\/\" title=\"Burger King Tries To Troll Chick-Fil-A By Donating To LGBT Activist Org: \u2018Even On Sundays\u2019\">fast-food giant<\/a> also announced a $5 meal deal for June, but it suffered a small <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/mcdonalds-customers-left-frustrated-new-5-deal-comes-major-catch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">backlash<\/a> after customers learned the offering is limited.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/mcdonalds-25-deal-angers-customers-shows-damage-californias-20-minimum-wage-fast-food-industry\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">McDonald\u2019s<\/a> also faced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/fan-favorite-mcflurry-flavor-returns-mcdonalds-customers-notice-immediate-problem\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">customer anger<\/a> this month when it announced it was reintroducing a favorite McFlurry flavor \u2014 Confetti Cookie Dough \u2014 but only in\u00a0Canada.<\/p>\n<p>The chain has been under a microscope for raising prices across the board as well. In fact, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/mcdonalds-menu-prices-surged-100-past-decade-according-study\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recent study<\/a> found that its prices have outpaced the rate of inflation over the last decade.<\/p>\n<p>As reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/financebuzz.com\/fast-food-prices-vs-inflation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FinanceBuzz<\/a>, McDonald\u2019s prices have soared by 100 percent while the overall inflation rate has been 31 percent since 2014, when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-protesters-disrupt-bidens-nyc-fundraiser-obama-bill-clinton-blood-hands\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Barack Obama<\/a> was in his second term as president.<\/p>\n<p>The controversy over price increases drove the company\u2019s CEO to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/mcdonalds-ceo-promises-changes-viral-backlash-high-prices\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">promise changes<\/a> after being buffeted by the reports early this year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think what you\u2019re going to see as you head into 2024 is probably more attention to what I would describe as affordability,\u201d Chief Executive Chris Kempczinski said in February during an earnings call.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the fast-food chain is quickly losing customers who make less than $45,000 a year because they simply can\u2019t justify the costs of eating at a McDonald\u2019s.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">This was at a rest stop, but these McDonald\u2019s prices are nuts right??? <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/0qq8Ima3ZA\">pic.twitter.com\/0qq8Ima3ZA<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Sam Learner (@sam_learner) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/sam_learner\/status\/1681367351143301129?\">July 18, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Along with most other fast-food chains, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/countless-workers-face-layoffs-reduced-hours-californias-outrageous-new-minimum-wage-law-kicks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">McDonald\u2019s<\/a> has taken a particular hit in California, where the Democrat-led state Legislature passed a new law forcing most \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/newsoms-restaurant-pays-16-hour-despite-law-crippling-fast-food-chains-20-minimum-wage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">but not all<\/a> \u2014 fast-food chains to raise the minimum wage they pay workers to $20 an hour.<\/p>\n<p>The law \u2014 which went into effect on April 1 \u2014 is just another cost factor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/study-increasing-minimum-wage-led-higher-prices-mcdonalds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">driving prices<\/a> up in California.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<div>\n<p><b><i>An Important Message from Our Staff:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span>We who work here at The Western Journal have fought for years against Big Tech and the elites who want to shut us down and then shut America down. <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>Make no mistake \u2014 nothing will be the same after November 2024.
