The campaign is working to address the controversy.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_78\">\n<p>The campaign to elect former President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Donald Trump<\/a> is scrambling trying to explain why Trump shared a video with the phrase \u201cunified Reich,\u201d which refers to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/nazis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Nazi Germany<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>During the video, a narrator described \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/2024-elections\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>what happens after<\/a> Donald Trump wins,\u201d and the screen flashed to a newspaper headline reading, \u201cIndustrial strength significantly increased \u2026 driven by the creation of a unified Reich.\u201d The term \u201creich\u201d refers to an empire, but the word<a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2024\/05\/20\/trump-social-media-video-unified-reich-00159067\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title> was also used<\/a> by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/hitler\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Adolf Hitler\u2019s <\/a>\u201cThird Reich,\u201d another name for his Nazi regime.<\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<p>The Trump campaign said one of its staffers posted the video to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/truth-social\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Truth Social <\/a>without seeing the phrase. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis was not a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/niger-heads-to-polls-in-search-of-first-democratic-transition\/\" title=\"Niger heads to polls in search of first democratic transition\">campaign video<\/a>, it was created by a random account online and reposted by a staffer who clearly did not see the word, while the President was in court,\u201d Karoline Leavitt, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/5-racist-biden-quotes-the-media-swept-under-the-rug\/\" title=\"5 \u2018Racist\u2019 Biden Quotes The Media Swept Under the Rug\">campaign spokeswoman<\/a>, said in a statement. <\/p>\n<p>The Biden campaign said some of the headlines displayed in the video echoed Nazi Germany.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDonald Trump is not playing games;
