It also indirectly showcased the role pornography played in the sexual abuse and harassment of those on the set.<\/p>\n<p>In the fifth episode of the docuseries, \u201cAll That\u201d cast member Shane Lyons says he hopes this documentary \u201cisn\u2019t just a flash-in-the-pan moment of interest\u201d because something must change. We have to take a serious look at some underlying issues we have as a society that contribute to this horrific <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/2019\/09\/28\/us\/child-sex-abuse.html\">epidemi<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/2019\/09\/28\/us\/child-sex-abuse.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">c<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2-long d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1929208793\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1379703300879-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1e2c1ec2b8ad80ed51ba8c1c703fa1fa fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1e2c1ec2b8ad80ed51ba8c1c703fa1fa\"><\/div>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nickelodeon Nightmare<\/h2>\n<p>In the docuseries, staff and child actors alleged that they were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.today.com\/popculture\/tv\/quiet-on-set-nickelodeon-documentary-dan-schneider-rcna143807\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">routinely <\/a>verbally and emotionally abused and retaliated against by Nickelodeon writer and producer Dan Schneider. Female staff said they were made to split their salaries and perform massages on Schneider.<\/p>\n<p>Writers claimed they were forced to write pornographic \u201chumor\u201d for children to act out, pornography was played on the set, and pedophiles were grooming, sexually abusing, and soliciting sex from child actors.<\/p>\n<p>Testimony from writers and child actors <a href=\"https:\/\/www.today.com\/popculture\/tv\/quiet-on-set-nickelodeon-documentary-dan-schneider-rcna143807\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">expounded<\/a> on the fact that they were forced to do scenes that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vox.com\/culture\/24115802\/quiet-on-set-nickelodeon-dan-schneider-drake-bell-amanda-bynes-ariana-grande\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">depicted<\/a> crotch shots to the face, foot fetishism, using objects or food to depict sexual acts with a penis, using teen girls as the focus of sexual foreplay, and participating in degrading and humiliating acts. <\/p>\n<p>Where did Schneider and others get these types of ideas from? And why were they written for children? <\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-dc81810ea225c0bff1a030e16b59d3a6 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-dc81810ea225c0bff1a030e16b59d3a6\"><\/div>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Predators on Set<\/h2>\n<p>Drake Bell, featured in the docuseries, came forward as the John Doe in the 2003 sexual assault case against then-dialogue coach Brian Peck. When asked to elaborate on the abuse that took place, Bell <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2024\/tv\/news\/drake-bell-sexual-assault-brian-peck-documentary-1235934302\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">replied<\/a>, \u201cThe abuse was extensive and it got pretty brutal. \u2026 Why don\u2019t you think of the worst stuff that someone could do to somebody as a sexual assault, and then I\u2019ll answer your question. I don\u2019t know how else to put it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Peck <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/full-list-brian-peck-11-164513403.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pled guilty<\/a> to 11 charges of \u201ca lewd act upon a child; sodomy of a person under 16; attempted sodomy of a person under 16; sexual penetration by a foreign object; four counts of oral copulation of a person under 16; oral copulation by anesthesia or controlled substance; sending harmful matter; and using a minor for sex acts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This same Brian Peck working with children at Nickelodeon was pen pals with infamous boy-molester and murderer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-13217983\/Ex-Nickelodeon-star-Kyle-Sullivan-claims-abuser-Brian-Peck-self-portrait-Chicago-serial-killer-John-Wayne-Gacy-murdered-33-teenage-boys-men-went-develop-pen-pal-friendship-psycho.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">John Wayne Gacy<\/a>, who was convicted in the 1970s of raping and murdering 33 boys and men. <\/p>\n<p>Pornography has long been studied as a <a href=\"https:\/\/academic.oup.com\/bjc\/article\/61\/5\/1243\/6208896\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">script for sexual violence<\/a>, noting a <a href=\"https:\/\/fightthenewdrug.org\/mahri-irvine-sex-offender-characteristics-and-porn-themes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">correlation <\/a>between sexual offenders and common themes depicted in pornography. A study conducted on the most popular mainstream porn showed that <a href=\"https:\/\/fightthenewdrug.org\/how-porn-can-promote-sexual-violence\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">88 percent<\/a> of scenes portrayed acts of physical violence or aggression and 49 percent portrayed verbal aggression. <\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-28929f74167953349bf2bd64bae518bd fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-28929f74167953349bf2bd64bae518bd\"><\/div>\n<p>Another <a href=\"https:\/\/academic.oup.com\/bjc\/article\/61\/5\/1243\/6208896\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">study <\/a>found that one in eight titles of content from three leading porn sites constituted sexual violence and that \u201cteen\u201d was the most frequently occurring word in describing sexual violence.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lapdonline.org\/newsroom\/child-predator-with-television-industry-connections-arrested-for-lewd-acts-with-children\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jason Michael Handy<\/a>, another Nickelodeon staffer, <a href=\"https:\/\/dailytitan.com\/news\/local\/abuse-cases-in-hollywood-attracting-attention\/article_f07a73ec-b1bc-5318-9565-8f3511be22de.html#:~:text=Handy%20was%20sentenced%20to%20six,related%20to%20child%20sexual%20exploitation.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pleaded<\/a> no contest to two sex offender felonies, one for lewd acts on a minor and the other for being found in possession of sexually exploitative images of children. It is very common for law enforcement to find sexual predators in possession of CSAM (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/second-minor-sues-twitter-over-sex-trafficking-on-social-media-site\/\" title=\"Second Minor Sues Twitter Over Sex Trafficking On Social Media Site\">child sexual abuse material<\/a>, aka child pornography) at the time of their arrest.<\/p>\n<p>In 2019, a New York Times <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/2019\/09\/28\/us\/child-sex-abuse.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">investigation <\/a>uncovered an unfathomable proliferation of online CSAM, overwhelming police and crime centers with nearly 18.4 million reports being filed at the time. To put this in perspective, this is millions of children in their worst nightmare, being filmed, distributed, and traded for the gratification and monetary compensation of others, which meets the legal definition of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/criminal\/criminal-ceos\/citizens-guide-us-federal-law-child-sex-trafficking\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sex trafficking<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rampant Abuse and Pornography Use<\/h2>\n<p>National statistics from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rainn.org\/statistics\/children-and-teens\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RAINN<\/a> tell us that one in nine girls and one in 20 boys will <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/girls-are-reaching-puberty-at-earlier-ages-doctors-say\/\" title=\"Girls Are Reaching Puberty At Earlier Ages, Doctors Say\">experience sexual abuse<\/a> or assault before the age of 18 and that children will often know their abusers. Though <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/crime-up-23-in-washington-dc-this-year-as-city-moves-to-reduce-punishments\/\" title=\"Crime Up 23% in Washington DC This Year as City Moves to Reduce Punishments\">black women make<\/a> up <a href=\"https:\/\/cawp.rutgers.edu\/black-women-elective-office#:~:text=Black%20women%20are%207.7%25%20of,U.S.%20Census%20and%20CAWP%20categorizations.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">7 percent<\/a> of the U.S. population, they are <a href=\"https:\/\/rights4girls.org\/gender-based-violence\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">disproportionally<\/a> represented as survivors of rape, sexual assault, and trafficking across the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, while the victims of sexual exploitation are often black, the buyers of sex have been reported to be predominately <a href=\"https:\/\/www.demandabolition.org\/research\/facts-men-buy-sex\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">affluent white males<\/a>. The obvious sex, class, and racial imbalance is perpetually overlooked by leftists, who claim to care for women and minorities yet celebrate \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/decriminalizesex.work\/black-lives-matter\/\">sex work<\/a>\u201d and strip away <a href=\"https:\/\/nationalcenter.org\/ncppr\/2024\/04\/22\/bidens-title-ix-rewrite-threatens-50-years-of-advancement-in-womens-and-girls-sports\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Title IX<\/a> protections for women\u2019s private spaces.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe others saw this documentary with different eyes and came to different conclusions, and there are plenty of conclusions to be made from this bombshell. But overall, the parallels between eyewitness testimonies and the current research on the harms of pornography cannot be ignored. <\/p>\n<p>Pornography has been scientifically proven to change users\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/fightthenewdrug.org\/porn-not-as-harmless-as-society-thinks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">brains<\/a> and adversely affect their attitudes and behaviors toward women, children, sex, and relationships.
