Jim Jordan<\/a> (R-OH) for his investigation into her office, accusing him of prioritizing attacks on her instead of delivering for his constituents.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview on MSNBC\u2019s <em>The Rachel Maddow Show<\/em>, Willis shared the attacks she has received for her investigation into former President Donald Trump and his allies. Earlier this year, Jordan, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, opened a federal investigation into Willis and threatened to hold her in contempt of Congress if she did not comply with a federal investigation into the use of federal funds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJim Jordan has time after time after time attacked my office with no legitimate purpose. Anyone who knows Jim Jordan\u2019s history knows that he only has the purpose of trying to interfere in a criminal investigation,\u201d Willis claimed.<\/p>\n<figure>\n<div>\n<blockquote data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<div lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\n<p>\u201cFollow this clown\u2019s lead\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In an exclusive interview with Rachel Maddow, Fani Willis says Georgia Republicans are following Rep. Jim Jordan\u2019s lead in \u201ctrying to interfere in a criminal investigation.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>D.A. Willis calls it &#8220;disgusting&#8221; but says &#8220;it shall fail.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/xB80X2OwrD\">pic.twitter.com\/xB80X2OwrD<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u2014 MSNBC (@MSNBC) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MSNBC\/status\/1792745809693270502?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 21, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Part of the probe includes <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Politics\/jim-jordan-fani-willis-contempt-congress-comply-subpoena\/story?id=108120431\">investigating<\/a> a report that Willis\u2019s office \u201cunlawfully \u2018planned to use part of a $488,000 federal grant \u2014 earmarked for the creation of a Center of Youth Empowerment and Gang Prevention\u2019 \u2014 to cover frivolous, unrelated expenses,\u201d according to a subpoena. Willis has said she \u201cinvite[s] him\u201d to investigate the grants and that her office has complied with the subpoenas.<\/p>\n<p>She also dissed Jordan\u2019s district, which encompasses a rural central part of Ohio and some parts outside of Columbus, highlighting its crime issues. Columbus has one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.neighborhoodscout.com\/oh\/columbus\/crime#:~:text=With%20a%20crime%20rate%20of,here%20is%20one%20in%2025.\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-slams-highly-partisan-ny-probe\/\" title=\"Trump Slams 'Highly Partisan' NY Probe\">highest crime rates<\/a><\/a> among cities in the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe continues his attacks to try to interfere in a criminal investigation. All while his jurisdiction has one of the worst crime rates, has poverty issues, and not one time has he used his position to try to investigate people who are attacking me and others who are attacking others legitimately doing their job, making him illegitimate in his position. And it\u2019s disgusting,\u201d Willis said.<\/p>\n<p>She said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/2995879\/fani-willis-disqualification-georgia-appeals-court\/\">those within Georgia<\/a> are following Jordan\u2019s lead by trying to \u201cattack\u201d her. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow, at the state level, they\u2019ve decided to follow this clown\u2019s lead. And they want to now try to interfere in an investigation and it\u2019s not legitimate either and so it shall fail and it\u2019s not going to go anywhere,\u201d Willis said.\u00a0\u201cBut they are trying to attack me at every level.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Washington Examiner<\/em> reached out to Jordan\u2019s office for comment. <\/p>\n<p>Willis, who is facing a Democratic primary challenger Tuesday, reiterated her role as district attorney as someone who \u201clooks at the facts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHaving prosecutors that are free from interference and are allowed to look at cases, look at the facts, and if people broke the law to bring charges, has to go on for us to live in a free society\u201d Willis said.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/\"><strong>CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Still, she said as a result of all the investigations and \u201cattacks,\u201d she comes out stronger.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe sad part, though, for all of them is it doesn\u2019t matter how many times they attack me, I am not going to be broken,\u201d Willis said. \u201cAnd I am going to still be standing here doing my job, lawfully.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fulton County DA Fani Willis criticized Rep.
