Although he fell short \u2063of victory, DeChambeau&#8217;s gesture of giving a ball to a child, only to have it taken by an adult, led him to intervene and ensure the ball returned \u2062to the young fan, leaving a heartfelt impact\u200b on spectators and fellow golfers.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<header> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/sports\/\">  Sports <\/a>    <span> <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/johnathanjones\/\">  <\/a> <\/p>\n<p> <span>   By <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/johnathanjones\/%20\"><span>Johnathan Jones<\/span><\/a> <\/span> <span>   May 20, 2024 at 12:17pm <\/span> <\/span>  <\/header>\n<section>\n<p>Professional golfer Bryson DeChambeau came up just short at Sunday\u2019s annual PGA Championship, but he is still being celebrated online for an unforgettable display of sportsmanship.<\/p>\n<p>At Louisville\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/worlds-top-golfer-scottie-scheffler-tells-side-story-stunning-arrest\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Valhalla Golf Club<\/a>, the power driver was in contention for a win when he selflessly made an attempt to make the final day of the tournament memorable for a small boy.<\/p>\n<p>The 30-year-old was caught on video throwing a ball to the kid when conventional wisdom should tell us his mind would have solely been focused on the game.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately for one of professional golf\u2019s younger fans, the ball ended up in the hands of an adult who snatched it and retreated.<\/p>\n<p>But <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/pro-golfer-dechambeau-takes-advantage-new-rule-putts-flagstick\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DeChambeau<\/a> was not pleased to see the boy\u2019s chance at having a memento robbed from him, and he sternly demanded the adult fan return the ball to the kid.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/golf.com\/news\/bryson-dechambeau-young-fan-ball-stole-pga\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Golf<\/a> reported that DeChambeau had just left the green on the ninth hole and was walking to the tee box on the back nine when he saw the child and offered him the gift.<\/p>\n<p>When the golfer saw the ball snatched up by a grown man, he refused to move on until the situation was remedied.<\/p>\n<p>DeChambeau went as far as to scream at the man who had intercepted the child\u2019s would-be souvenir.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHey!\u201d DeChambeau repeatedly shouted at the man who at first did not appear to hear him. \u201cHey!\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Did you watch the PGA Championship?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-dechambeau-sinks-58-foot-eagle-putt-snatch-victory-las-vegas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The golfer<\/a> elevated his voice and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/nypd-searching-for-suspect-who-attack-asian-woman-with-a-hammer\/\" title=\"NYPD searching for suspect who attack Asian woman with a hammer\">repeatedly yelled<\/a> and pointed his club at the man.<\/p>\n<p>Someone off-camera yelled, \u201cGive that boy his ball back!\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Great moment from Bryson dechambeau, he tossed a kid his ball after #9 that gets intercepted by an older man and waits until it gets back in the right hands \ud83d\ude4c\ud83c\udffd <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/NgxfwwVgwZ\">pic.twitter.com\/NgxfwwVgwZ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 anthony (@asreynolds24) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/asreynolds24\/status\/1792347522226405733?\">May 20, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Upon seeing DeChambeau would not back down until the boy got a gift that was obviously intended for him, the off-camera voice called the golfer a \u201cman for the people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The child ended up with possession of the ball, and DeChambeau headed for the tenth hole with the support of a very raucous crowd.<\/p>\n<p>Many people who came across the clip on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/x-users-spot-telling-problem-hillary-clintons-attempt-support-joe-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">X<\/a> admitted they had been on the fence about DeChambeau but said they were reconsidering their stance on him:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Bryson has grown on me.
