The office expressed concern over the disturbing video circulating online and encouraged victims or witnesses to report crimes to law enforcement. CNN exclusively\u2064 obtained footage\u2063 of the incident.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p>Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gasc\u00f3n\u2019s office says that the rap mogul Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs cannot be charged for his alleged violent attack in 2016 on his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura because the statute of limitations has expired.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are aware of the video that has been circulating online allegedly depicting Sean Combs assaulting a young woman in Los Angeles,\u201d the district attorney\u2019s office said in a statement posted to social media.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe find the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/sean-diddy-combs-admits-to-beating-cassie-ventura-i-was-fed-up\/\" title=\"Sean 'Diddy' Combs Confesses to Mistreating Cassie Ventura: 'I Was in a Bad Place\">images extremely disturbing<\/a> and difficult to watch,\u201d the statement continued. \u201cIf the conduct depicted occurred in 2016, unfortunately we would be unable to charge as the conduct would have occurred beyond the timeline where a crime of assault can be prosecuted. As of today, law enforcement has not presented a case related to the attack depicted in the video against Mr. Combs, but we encourage anyone who has been a victim or witness to a crime to report it to law enforcement or reach out to our office for support from our Bureau of Victims Services.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>CNN exclusively <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/watch-video-emerges-of-sean-diddy-combs-allegedly-beating-girlfriend\">obtained video<\/a> of the incident late last week \u2014 which appears to have happened on March 5, 2016 \u2014 at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles.<\/p>\n<p>The video purportedly shows Combs running down the hall after Ventura and catching up to her as she waits for an elevator.<\/p>\n<p>Combs allegedly grabbed her, threw her on the ground, kicked her, and attempted to drag her back to the hotel room.<\/p>\n<p>She later slowly gets up and picks up a phone on the wall near the elevator as Combs walks back to the hotel room with her bags.<\/p>\n<p>He later returned and appeared to shove her into a corner before sitting on a nearby chair and allegedly throwing an object at her.<\/p>\n<p>Ventura filed a lawsuit against Combs in November, accusing the music mogul of abuse.<\/p>\n<p>Combs settled the lawsuit the following day.<\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-describedby=\"sk-tooltip-9096\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp&#038;source=gmail&#038;ust=1700760801843000&#038;usg=AOvVaw2PQrVSrJfhxNb4LcARqniG\">CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Ben Brafman, an attorney for Combs, said that Combs \u201cvehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA decision to settle a lawsuit, especially in 2023, is in no way an admission of wrongdoing,\u201d he added. \u201cMr. Combs\u2018 decision to settle the lawsuit does not in any way undermine his flat-out denial of the claims.
