suffered some type of incident on Sunday and may have crashed.<\/p>\n<p>The chopper experienced a \u201chard landing,\u201d Iranian <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/biden-administrations-inexplicable-move-may-just-escalated-israel-iran-clash-way-nations-wanted-avoid\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">state media<\/a> reported, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/iran-helicopter-raisi-b483ba75e4339cfb0fe00c7349d023b8\">Associated Press<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The incident took place in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/iranian-professor-makes-frightening-prediction-anti-israel-protesters-college-campuses-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Iran\u2019s East Azerbaijan<\/a> province near its border with the country of Azerbaijan.<\/p>\n<p>One Iranian official called the incident a \u201ccrash\u201d but said he had not yet reached the Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian were also reportedly on the helicopter with the president,\u201d the agency posted.<\/p>\n<p>According to The AP, Raisi had been in Azerbaijan to inaugurate a dam in a ceremony with Azerbaijan\u2019s President Ilham Aliyev.<\/p>\n<p>Raisi, 63, has been sanctioned by the U.S. in part because of the execution of political prisoners in 1988.<\/p>\n<p>Under his
