In response, England&#8217;s NHS\u200d permanently banned puberty blockers for minors, highlighting\u2063 a \u2062divide \u200bin approach between the U.S.\u200b and \u2064Europe.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p>Liberal comedian <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/bill-maher\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bill Maher<\/a> slammed the U.S. medical establishment for being \u201cafraid\u201d to admit that it was wrong for promoting transgender procedures for minors.<\/p>\n<p>Maher made the remarks on his HBO show \u201cReal Time\u201d on Friday while discussing a recent landmark study published in March in the U.K. by Dr. Hillary Cass that concluded that minors should not be given <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/arkansas-gov-vetos-transgender-treatments-ban-for-minors-calls-it-vast-government-overreach\/\" title=\"Arkansas Gov. Vetos Transgender Treatments Ban For Minors, Calls It \u2018Vast Government Overreach\u2019\">transgender treatments<\/a>. Later that month, England\u2019s\u00a0National Health Service (NHS) permanently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/nhs-england-permanently-bans-puberty-blockers-from-being-prescribed-to-minors\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">banned<\/a> giving puberty blockers to minors.<\/p>\n<p>Maher said that the U.K. and other countries in Europe were so far ahead of the U.S. in dealing with the issue of transgenderism in minors that the U.S.\u2019 policies are now considered to be obsolete.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is so symbolic of so much of woke excess \u2014 by thinking you\u2019re so progressive, you\u2019re actually behind,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Maher then read what Cass wrote: \u201cThe reality is that we have no good evidence on the long-term outcomes or interventions to manage gender related distress in kids. These are kids who wanted to switch sex. For most young people, a medical pathway will not be the best way. There\u2019s no clear evidence that social transition in childhood has any positive or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/study-shows-effects-of-pandemic-life-changes-on-mothers\/\" title=\"Study Shows Effects Of Pandemic Life Changes On Mothers\">negative mental health outcomes<\/a>.
