Four different groups of patients were looked at in the study, including 1,501 people aged 18-60 who had \u201cgender-affirming surgery\u201d and an emergency visit (cohort A) and 15,608,363 adults who visited the emergency room but had no \u201cgender-affirming surgery\u201d (cohort B). The third group (cohort C) included 142,093 \u201cadults with emergency visits, tubal ligation or vasectomy, but no gender-affirming surgery,\u201d while a fourth group of patients with pharyngitis (cohort D) was studied \u201cto validate the results from cohort C.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cData from February 4, 2003, to February 4, 2023, were analyzed to examine suicide attempts, death, self-harm, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/watch-gary-sinise-launches-new-initiative-with-home-depot-founders\/\" title=\"WATCH: Gary Sinise Launches New Initiative With Home Depot Founders\">post-traumatic stress disorder<\/a> (PTSD) within five years of the index event,\u201d the study said, adding that its results found that \u201cIndividuals who underwent gender-affirming surgery had a 12.12-fold higher suicide attempt risk than those who did not.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The study concluded, \u201cGender-affirming surgery is significantly associated with elevated suicide attempt risks, underlining the necessity for comprehensive post-procedure psychiatric support.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The study\u2019s findings fly in the face of the argument from those espousing radical gender theory, including the Biden administration, who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2023\/03\/31\/fact-sheet-white-house-honors-transgender-day-of-visibility\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">claim<\/a> that \u201cgender-affirming care\u201d prevents suicide attempts among those who identify as transgender.<\/p>\n<p>DailyWire+ host Dr. Jordan B.
