Really bad charges,\u201d yet they could have visitors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese men aren\u2019t even convicted and they\u2019re not allowed visitation,\u201d she explained of the January 6 defendants. \u201cThese guys who are fathers. They haven\u2019t seen their kids. They\u2019ve missed milestones: weddings, birthdays, births of grandchildren and only by the grace of God I think these guys are going to be okay.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to \u201cThe War on Truth,\u201d Ronald McAbee spent 926 days in pre-trial confinement or a little over two-and<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ex-trump-aide-paul-manafort-cant-be-prosecuted-in-new-york-following-pardon-court-rules\/\" title=\"Ex-Trump Aide Paul Manafort Can\u2019t Be Prosecuted in New York Following Pardon, Court Rules\">-a-half years<\/a> before his case went to trial and he was sentenced.<\/p>\n<p>A Department of Justice <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-dc\/pr\/tennessee-man-sentenced-prison-multiple-felony-charges-related-jan-6-capitol-breach\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news release<\/a> from February said that a Washington, D.C. jury convicted him of five felonies related to January 6.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stream \u201cWar on the Truth\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/movies.westernjournal.com\/pages\/thewarontruthmovie\/?utm_source=website&#038;utm_medium=westernjournalism&#038;utm_campaign=warontruth\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NOW<\/a>. Rent for $7.77 for 48 hours or digital purchase for $9.99.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ronald also pleaded guilty to a separate felony charge of \u201cassaulting, resisting, or impeding a second officer and a misdemeanor charge of an act of physical violence on the Capitol grounds,\u201d the DOJ said.<\/p>\n<p>McAbee was sentenced to 70 months in prison (just short of six years), 36 months of supervised release, and ordered to pay $32,165 in restitution. Federal prosecutors had sought 12 years and seven <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/guns-are-always-loaded-hollywood-weapons-expert-says-alec-baldwin-broke-cardinal-rule-of-gun-safety\/\" title=\"\u2018Guns Are Always Loaded\u2019: Hollywood Weapons Expert Says Alec Baldwin Broke Cardinal Rule Of Gun Safety\">months jail time<\/a>, so more than twice the sentence he received, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/ronald-mcabee-sheriffs-deputy-capitol-riot-9ec6b70f0af0c722c8d3aa83902ebf17\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Associated Press<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Sarah McAbee said her husband refused to accept a nine year plea deal on all charges, deciding instead to go to trial.<\/p>\n<p>She argued video evidence from that day exonerates her husband regarding his actions toward an officer at the Capitol. Sarah that said Ronald was trying to help, but the DOJ was not willing to play the audio of the video in court.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019ll play the video and narrate the story. They won\u2019t play the audio, because in the audio he\u2019s communicating with these Metro and Capitol police officers, saying, \u2018I\u2019m helping you. I\u2019m one of you,&#8217;\u201d Sarah said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe last video you see him in the officer\u2019s thanking him for his help that day,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>After viewing and listening to the video, former GOP Rep. Louie Gohmert of Texas believes Sarah is right.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you listen to the audio as you watch the video you find out he was helping a Capitol policeman who was down,\u201d Gohmert <a href=\"https:\/\/www.c-span.org\/video\/?c5053446\/user-clip-louie-gohmert-mcabee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> from the House floor on November 16, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd yet this judge has the audacity to say, \u2018We\u2019re not listening to the audio,\u2019 so he could hear that evidence. Why wouldn\u2019t you listen to the evidence?\u201d the congressman asked.<\/p>\n<p>Beside trying to help and shield an officer who had been pushed to the ground, McAbee performed CPR on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/left-openly-mocks-womans-horrific-death-capitol-carrying-gadsden-flag\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rosanne Boyland<\/a>, a 34-year-old Donald Trump supporter who had gone into cardiac arrest. An <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/local\/public-safety\/trump-riot-death-medical-exainer\/2021\/04\/07\/53806608-97cf-11eb-a6d0-13d207aadb78_story.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">amphetamine drug<\/a> used to treat attention-deficit disorder and narcolepsy was found in her system.<\/p>\n<p>Ronald told an officer to stop hitting Boyland, saying she was already unconscious, Sarah noted.<\/p>\n<p>Searcy asked why she thought the DOJ had been so keen to hold her husband in pre-trial detention without bond.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause he tried to save Rosanne\u2019s life.
