The Fed devalues our currency by monetizing the debt, causing inflation.<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/JWSaCssAJB\">https:\/\/t.co\/JWSaCssAJB<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/z8IDQ139Yc\">pic.twitter.com\/z8IDQ139Yc<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Thomas Massie (@RepThomasMassie) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepThomasMassie\/status\/1791216728728346721?\">May 16, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cAmericans are suffering under crippling inflation, and the Federal Reserve is to blame,\u201d Massie explained. \u201cDuring COVID, the Federal Reserve created trillions of dollars out of thin air and loaned it to the Treasury Department to enable unprecedented deficit spending. By monetizing the debt, the Federal Reserve devalued the dollar and enabled free money policies that caused the high inflation we see today.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMonetizing debt is a closely coordinated effort between the White House, Federal Reserve, Treasury Department, Congress, Big Banks, and Wall Street,\u201d Massie added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough this process, retirees see their savings evaporate due to the actions of a central bank pursuing inflationary policies that benefit the wealthy and connected. If we really want to reduce inflation, the most effective policy is to end the Federal Reserve.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Should the Federal Reserve be abolished?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Massie already has a long list of about 19 co-signers on the bill, as well, including Rep. Chip Roy of Texas, Florida\u2019s Matt Gaetz, Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, Paul Gosar of Arizona and Lauren Boebert of Colorado.<\/p>\n<p>This bill was first introduced back in 1999 by Texas Republican Ron Paul, but has not been re-introduced since 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Massie has also introduced the Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2023 (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/118th-congress\/house-bill\/24\/text?s=1&#038;r=64\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HR24<\/a>) to audit the Federal Reserve System, a measure also spearheaded by Rep. Paul back in 2009.<\/p>\n<p>After Massie posted about his bill to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-new-acting-attorney-general-jeff-rosen-recently-wrote-an-essay-on-foreign-influence-in-us-elections-this-tells-us-a-little-about-his-knowledge-of-whats-going-on-today\/\" title=\"The New Acting Attorney General Jeff Rosen Recently Wrote an Essay on Foreign Influence in US Elections \u2013 This Tells Us A Little About His Knowledge of What\u2019s Going On Today\">social media platform<\/a> X, leftist brat <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-gun-control-activist-david-hogg-torched-ccp-survivor-go-china-see-gun-control-works\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">David Hogg<\/a> decided to chime in with a profane slam on the congressman, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/davidhogg111\/status\/1791266750534758460\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">posting<\/a> \u201cThis is f***ing crazy. After all, the only thing this leftist did was call Massie stupid by claiming he never read a history book. But what he did not do is show evidence that his guffawing had any basis in fact.
