The\u200b research analyzed \u200ddata from multiple patient cohorts and emphasized the critical \u2064need for post-surgery mental \u200dhealth support. The findings challenge \u2064prevailing\u200d beliefs in transgender care effectiveness and highlight \u2062the \u2062urgent call\u200c for regulatory actions to protect \u2064vulnerable individuals.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p>A study published last month shows that those who underwent gender surgery had a suicide risk 12 times higher than those who did not, adding more data showing the dangers of the life-altering procedures.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC11063965\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">study<\/a> utilized patient data from 56 health care organizations in the U.S. and over 90 million patients. Four different groups of patients were looked at in the study, including 1,501 people aged 18-60 who had \u201cgender-affirming surgery\u201d and an emergency visit (cohort A) and 15,608,363 adults who visited the emergency room but had no \u201cgender-affirming surgery\u201d (cohort B). The third group (cohort C) included 142,093 \u201cadults with emergency visits, tubal ligation or vasectomy, but no gender-affirming surgery,\u201d while a fourth group of patients with pharyngitis (cohort D) was studied \u201cto validate the results from cohort C.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cData from February 4, 2003, to February 4, 2023, were analyzed to examine suicide attempts, death, self-harm, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/watch-gary-sinise-launches-new-initiative-with-home-depot-founders\/\" title=\"WATCH: Gary Sinise Launches New Initiative With Home Depot Founders\">post-traumatic stress disorder<\/a> (PTSD) within five years of the index event,\u201d the study said, adding that its results found that \u201cIndividuals who underwent gender-affirming surgery had a 12.12-fold higher suicide attempt risk than those who did not.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The study concluded, \u201cGender-affirming surgery is significantly associated with elevated suicide attempt risks, underlining the necessity for comprehensive post-procedure psychiatric support.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The study\u2019s findings fly in the face of the argument from those espousing radical gender theory, including the Biden administration, who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2023\/03\/31\/fact-sheet-white-house-honors-transgender-day-of-visibility\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">claim<\/a> that \u201cgender-affirming care\u201d prevents suicide attempts among those who identify as transgender.<\/p>\n<p>DailyWire+ host Dr. Jordan B.
