The second<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/colo-gun-regulation-bills-slated-to-become-law\/\" title=\"Colo. gun regulation bills slated to become law\">-degree assault charge<\/a> is a felony while the others are misdemeanors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cScottie was advised to go around and turn left into the facility to come and do his pre-round preparation. The officer who charged him obviously didn\u2019t know that,\u201d said Steve Romines, Scheffler\u2019s lawyer. \u201cAnd so, he did what he was instructed to do. And the officer who arresting didn\u2019t think he was supposed to be doing that. And so that\u2019s where the miscommunication occurred.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Romines noted that Scheffler was in a marked courtesy vehicle with his credentials out when he drove up to the facility.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve got to talk to prosecutors,\u201d he said. \u201c[The charges will] either be dropped or we\u2019ll go to trial because he didn\u2019t do anything wrong. So we\u2019re not interested in any sort of settlement negotiations or anything like that. He didn\u2019t do anything wrong.
