It was signed into law by President Joe Biden last month but won\u2019t go into effect until Jan. 19.<\/p>\n<p>In the weeks following Biden signing the law, TikTok filed a lawsuit alleging the ban would violate the platform\u2019s First Amendment rights. That lawsuit was followed by another <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/federal-judge-blocks-bidens-mask-vaccine-mandates-for-texas-head-start-programs\/\" title=\"Federal Judge Blocks Biden's Mask, Vaccine Mandates for Texas Head Start Programs\">similar lawsuit filed<\/a> by TikTok users. The law allows Biden to decide which countries are deemed \u201cforeign adversaries\u201d and thus ban their apps from app stores.
