And outside the mall entrance that used to host a Sears outlet sits a strange sight.<\/p>\n<p>According to reports, hundreds of Tesla electric vehicles are parked hub-to-hub and just sitting there, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/fox2now.com\/news\/missouri\/hundreds-of-tesla-vehicles-parked-outside-chesterfield-mall-why\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KTVI-TV<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Among the models sitting unused in the parking lot are dozens of Tesla Cybertrucks and other models.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Fox station, a company called The Staenberg Group owns the Chesterfield Mall, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-admin-declassifies-intelligence-that-indicates-china-offered-to-pay-non-state-actors-in-afghanistan-to-attack-us-soldiers\/\" title=\"Trump Admin Declassifies Intelligence that Indicates China Offered to Pay Non-State Actors in Afghanistan to Attack US Soldiers\">media reported<\/a> that the company has contracted with Tesla to temporarily store its vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>Tim Lowe, senior vice president of leasing and development for The Staenberg Group, told KTVI that it wanted to earn as much revenue as it could from the struggling mall property before it shuts down for good Aug. 31.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe put a plan together to try and create alternate uses that would \u2026 be able to use some of the remaining life left in the mall before we tear it down,\u201d Lowe said. \u201cOne of those uses was allowing people to use the parking lot for different things.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of our users happens to be Tesla, who does have a dealership in the [Chesterfield] Valley, but does not have enough capacity at the dealership to park all of the cars they are bringing in,\u201d Lowe added. \u201cSo they are renting space within the parking lot to store their cars.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/tesla-repeatedly-bursts-flames-interstate-even-fire-crews-seemingly-extinguish-blaze\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tesla<\/a> will be able to store the vehicles on the premises until the mall\u2019s demolition begins in September.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Will demand for EVs soon increase?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019re just one of our many tenants who are using the mall [grounds] on a temporary basis while its awaiting demolition,\u201d Lowe explained.<\/p>\n<p>The auto news outlet <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/720018\/thousands-unsold-tesla-evs-parking-lots\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Inside EVs<\/a> reported that \u201csavvy internet users\u201d have noticed other locations where large quantities of EVs are apparently being stored.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[S]everal hundred Tesla-branded EVs are waiting to be delivered at the Quaker Bridge Mall in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, including some Cybertrucks,\u201d the outlet reported.<\/p>\n<p> <iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"May 15, 2024 - Many Teslas\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/-7KKT7DXrtc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Inside EVs also noted a Reddit post that showed photos of what it claimed were \u201cseveral more hundred yet-to-be-delivered Tesla EVs\u201d in an abandoned apartment complex parking lot in Richmond, Virginia.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, it could just be that the company is anticipating sales to jump this summer, since EVs reportedly perform much better in the summer than in the winter. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/charging-stations-turn-tesla-graveyards-biting-cold-exposes-major-ev-vulnerability\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cold temperatures<\/a> and the use of vehicle heaters noticeably reduce the range of EVs.<\/p>\n<p>Others wonder whether the unusual sight of so many stockpiled cars is a signal of something more dire.<\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/jalopnik.com\/tesla-is-running-out-of-room-to-store-unsold-cars-1851473377\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jalopnik<\/a> noted, Tesla manufactured 46,561 more vehicles than it sold during the first quarter of 2024.<\/p>\n<p>As economic blogger Mike Shedlock reminded readers on his <a href=\"https:\/\/mishtalk.com\/economics\/unsold-teslas-pile-up-in-mall-parking-lots-big-discounts-likely\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MishTalk<\/a> website, Tesla already recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ev-giant-tesla-begins-mass-layoffs-loses-two-top-executives\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trimmed<\/a> 10 percent of its workforce \u2014 \u201cto prepare for the next phase of growth.\u201d Not a good sign.<\/p>\n<p>Shedlock commented that preparing for growth by firing workers \u201cis like trying to lose weight by stocking the pantry with more potato chips.\u201d<\/p>\n<hr>\n<div>\n<p><b><i>A Note from Our Deputy Managing Editor:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span>\u201cWe don\u2019t even know if an election will be held in 2024.\u201d Those 12 words have been stuck in my head since I first read them. <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>Former Lt.
