The champ is here.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/05\/14\/sports\/greg-olsens-fox-role-comes-into-focus-after-tom-brady-arrival\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York Post<\/a>, Fox Sports <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/counting-down-the-worst-sports-announcers-of-all-time\/\" title=\"Counting Down The Worst Sports Announcers Of All-Time\">color commentator<\/a> and former NFL tight end Greg Olsen has been kicked off the network\u2019s top NFL commentary team, a role that former New England Patriots\u2019 star Tom Brady will assume for the 2024 NFL season.<\/p>\n<p>Olsen will now serve as the color commentator for Fox\u2019s number 2 team, teaming up with play-by-play analyst Joe Davis, while <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/tom-brady-isnt-happy-joke-robert-kraft-roast-dont-say\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brady<\/a> will join Kevin Burkhardt in Fox\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/drew-brees-out-at-nbc-after-one-season-as-nfl-analyst\/\" title=\"Drew Brees Out at NBC After One Season as NFL Analyst\">top booth<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>To top it off, Fox Sports is reducing Olsen\u2019s salary from $10 million to $3 million, the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/02\/13\/why-tom-bradys-fox-delay-is-worth-7-million-to-greg-olsen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York Post<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>The move has been in the works for some time. Brady originally signed a 10-year, $375 million deal with Fox in 2022 to become the network\u2019s top color commentator after he retired, the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/05\/10\/tom-brady-gets-monster-10-year-375-million-deal-from-fox-sports\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York Post<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>Olsen knew when he signed on with Fox that Brady would eventually replace him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s pretty clear that Tom\u2019s going to come, and he\u2019s going to take that seat alongside Kevin. That has not changed. If anything, I\u2019m even more committed to chasing that path,\u201d Olsen said to Eisen.<\/p>\n<p>As long as Brady is in the mix, it\u2019s hard to see how Olsen will achieve his goals at Fox.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been honest with Fox, and they\u2019ve been clear with me. I want to call top games. I want to call <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/super-bowl-champion-shreds-biden-commencement-address-support-murder-innocent-babies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Super Bowls<\/a>,\u201d Olsen said.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a tough setback for Olsen, who has etched his way into the \u201cupper-echelon\u201d of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/virginia-parents-sue-school-board-for-teaching-children-to-affirmatively-discriminate-based-on-race\/\" title=\"Virginia Parents Sue School Board for Teaching 'Children to Affirmatively Discriminate Based on Race'\">color commentary<\/a> and has been \u201cwidely acclaimed across the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/desantis-hating-sports-writer-tries-to-ruin-baseball-with-identity-politics\/\" title=\"DeSantis-Hating Sports Writer Tries To Ruin Baseball With Identity Politics\">sports media industry<\/a>,\u201d the New York Post reported.<\/p>\n<p>Olsen\u2019s talent and popularity have some in the football world, including Kansas City Chiefs star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/taylor-swift-fans-target-travis-kelces-christian-teammate-song-reference-speech-insane\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Travis Kelce<\/a>, speaking out against his demotion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love my guy Greg Olsen. They kind of did him dirty over there at Fox,\u201d Kelce <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=hv5TsLbp5Yc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> on his \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast with his brother, Jason Kelce.<\/p>\n<p>Kelce, however, acknowledged that it\u2019s unsurprising Fox made room for arguably the greatest quarterback of all-time, while still showing love to Olsen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut I mean, it\u2019s Tom Brady, what can you do? Sometimes you just got to do your thing. And Greg does a \u2026 tremendous job.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s no way for Fox to get around it. They did Olsen dirty.<\/p>\n<p>Granted, Olsen knew when he took that job that it was only a temporary gig. What\u2019s more surprising is that, even after becoming one of the best commentators in football, they still cut his salary by over 50 percent.<\/p>\n<p>The move by Fox feels disrespectful toward one of its brightest stars.<\/p>\n<p>However, Olsen should be looking for someone that will pay him what he\u2019s worth.<\/p>\n<p>Other color commentators are making leaps and bounds more than Olsen. On top of Brady\u2019s massive deal, Tony Romo, the lead color commentator for CBS, makes $17 million a year according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/85c21e767eecfcaa0e51d5f7307b7807\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Associated Press<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Troy Aikman, who previously served as Fox\u2019s lead color commentator, joined <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/espn-analyst-torches-lebron-james-tells-take-accountability-lakers-coach-darvin-ham-gets-fired\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ESPN<\/a> in 2022 on a 5-year, $90 million deal to serve as the lead color commentator for Monday Night Football, the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/02\/24\/what-troy-aikmans-90m-espn-deal-means-for-mcvay-michaels-buck\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York Post<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>When compared to other color commentators, Olsen is paid significantly less and could probably find someone to pay him more: both in money and in respect.<\/p>\n<p>But, at the end of the day, Olsen is still getting paid millions of dollars a year to call <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/football-hall-famer-booted-network-show-shut-20-years-air\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">football<\/a> games.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s a pretty sweet job.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<div>\n<p><b><i>An Important Message from Our Staff:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span>In just a few months, the world is going to change forever.
