The \u200deconomic aspects, specifically inflation \u2063and the economy, emerged as top priorities among <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/shift-in-black-voter-support-could-doom-bidens-24-chances-in-key-swing-states\/\" title=\"Black voter support shifting could harm Biden's chances in swing states in '24.\">young\u200c voters<\/a>.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/blueprint2024.com\/polling\/youth-poll-may\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>new poll<\/a> revealed young registered voters trust former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"President Donald Trump\">President Donald Trump<\/a> over <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/joe-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"President Donald Trump\">President Joe Biden<\/a> when it comes to reducing prices and securing the border, two defining issues of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/2024-elections\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"2024 \">2024 <\/a>general election.<\/p>\n<p>The polling released on Thursday by Democratic-aligned public opinion research group <a href=\"https:\/\/blueprint2024.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Blueprint<\/a> found most young voters trust Biden over Trump to handle most things, except for two concerns that \u201cmay be the defining issues of the 2024 election.\u201d The poll found 52% trust Trump more when it comes to lowering prices and that 53% trust Trump more to secure the border, statistics that gave pollsters pause.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we\u2019ve already talked about, young voters are much closer ideologically to Joe Biden than they are to Donald Trump,\u201d Evan Roth Smith, the lead pollster for Blueprint, said. \u201cBut, the two biggest issues of this election, inflation and immigration, it\u2019s very notable that with young voters \u2014 those are the only places Donald Trump has an advantage, and it\u2019s particularly concerning.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fauci-complains-about-being-politicized-by-extreme-people-such-as-jim-jordan-rand-paul\/\" title=\"Fauci Complains About Being \u2018Politicized\u2019 By \u2018Extreme People\u2019 Such As Jim Jordan, Rand Paul\">polling found<\/a> that nearly every young voter answered that economic concern was a top issue and as a whole, inflation and the economy were the most frequently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bidens-treasury-department-ignoring-national-security-responsibilities-experts-say\/\" title=\"Biden\u2019s Treasury Department Ignoring National Security Responsibilities, Experts Say\">prioritized issues<\/a>, chosen by 73% and 70% of young voters. <\/p>\n<p>According to the data, just 13% of voters think Biden is most focused on lowering prices. Forty percent of those voters say the Biden administration is most focused on creating more jobs. Meanwhile, 32% of voters said Trump is focused on lowering prices, and the same share, 32%, say Trump is most focused on creating more jobs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s troubling that one of the things where they\u2019re closest to Donald Trump is on his economic policy,\u201d Roth Smith added.\u00a0\u201cThat\u2019s worrying; that\u2019s very concerning.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to the poll, among the lowest-priority issues in the survey are LGBT issues and student loans, which were chosen 38% of the time. Climate change, Israel and Palestinian issues, race relations, and democracy were chosen about half the time. The most prioritized issues were inflation, healthcare, and jobs and the economy, which were chosen 70% or more of the time. <\/p>\n<p>Experts reviewing the polling results are suggesting Democrats work to get out the word about Biden\u2019s work to address inflation and improve the economy to increase young voter awareness. <\/p>\n<p>Ashley Aylward, a senior researcher at the Democratic polling firm HIT Strategies, said she\u2019s found the economy and cost of living continues to be young voters\u2019 top issues.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER<\/a><\/strong> <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey consistently tell us they aren\u2019t able to reach the economic milestones that their parent\u2019s generation or grandparent\u2019s generation were able to, so they are increasingly frustrated,\u201d Aylward said during a briefing with reporters on Thursday. <\/p>\n<p>Young voters helped deliver Biden his first White House victory in 2020, winning 61% of voters under 30 and 55% between 30 and 44, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/apnorc.org\/projects\/ap-votecast-2020-general-elections\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>AP VoteCast survey<\/a> of the electorate.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A recent poll indicates that young registered voters prefer former President Donald Trump to President Joe Biden for addressing price reductions and border security, vital issues in the upcoming 2024 election.
