Mary Miller, chairwoman of the House Education and Workforce Committee, asked Becerra.<\/p>\n<p>Becerra ignored the question and scolded Miller for asking it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019re going somewhere completely different. First, you started talking about how a doctor should have the rights to not offer particular care. Then you stretch it out to provide for the system-wide services. Mary Miller (@RepMaryMiller) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepMaryMiller\/status\/1790792637739303206?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 15, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><\/span> <\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Undeterred by Becerra\u2019s obfuscating, Miller pressed the Biden appointee further.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou put out this guidance and doctors need to know what are you going to do if they refuse to provide this care?\u201d Miller asked again.<\/p>\n<p>Becerra claimed doctors with \u201creligious objections\u201d to cutting off the breasts and genitals of physically healthy people are protected under conscience objection rules and are \u201cnot required\u201d to wreak <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/09\/28\/these-detransitioners-have-a-message-for-distressed-girls-mangling-your-body-is-a-sickness-not-a-cure\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">irreversible damage<\/a> on bodies.<\/p>\n<p>The Biden administration, however, has <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/policy\/healthcare\/4397912-biden-administration-rescinds-much-of-trump-conscience-rule-for-health-workers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">worked overtime to undo these protections<\/a>. Under President Joe Biden, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/warp-speed-advisor-expects-vaccine-to-ship-mid-december-herd-immunity-by-may\/\" title=\"\u2018Warp Speed\u2019 advisor expects vaccine to ship mid-December, \u2018herd immunity\u2019 by May\">health-care workers<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RogerSeverino_\/status\/1772633309173969196?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">whose conscience rights were verifiably violated<\/a> could not secure legal recourse. Sometimes they were forced to either leave their job or violate their faith to stay employed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo you\u2019re committing here today that you will not withhold federal funding?\u201d Miller asked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDoctors don\u2019t get federal funding, ma\u2019am,\u201d Beccera replied. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut the hospitals do,\u201d Miller noted. \u201cDoctors are working in these hospitals.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Despite Becerra\u2019s dodging, Miller asked again if the Biden administration would punish \u201chealth-care facilities\u201d by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/oklahoma-attorney-general-sues-biden-administration-over-military-vaccine-mandate\/\" title=\"Oklahoma Attorney General Sues Biden Administration over Military Vaccine Mandate\">withholding federal funding<\/a> if they refused to participate in transing children and adults.<\/p>\n<p>It was only then that the secretary admitted hospitals that fail to carry out the regime\u2019s agenda will suffer financial retaliation from the federal government.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf a health-care facility is violating the law and not providing the service they are required to, they are not entitled to federal funding,\u201d Becerra said.<\/p>\n<p>Becerra\u2019s confession comes mere weeks after HHS <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hhs.gov\/civil-rights\/for-individuals\/section-1557\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">finalized a rule<\/a> amending President Barack Obama\u2019s Affordable Care Act to prohibit providers that benefit from taxpayer funds from denying ill-named \u201ccare\u201d such as chemical castration and transgender mutilation to anyone. Just about every large health-care provider accepts federal funds through programs such as Medicaid and Medicare.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/06\/10\/science\/transgender-teenagers-national-survey.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">growing number<\/a> of people \u2014 especially children \u2014 who undergo social or physical \u201ctransitions,\u201d such as adopting false pronouns, undergoing mutilation, or taking sterilizing drugs, suffer <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/09\/28\/these-detransitioners-have-a-message-for-distressed-girls-mangling-your-body-is-a-sickness-not-a-cure\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">harrowing<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/abigailshrier.substack.com\/p\/not-a-kitchen-table-issue-jen-psaki?s=r\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">life-threatening<\/a> consequences.
